Touché, absolutely. My evil twin, my alter ego. Truth is I unabashedly lobbed that question in as a lazy attempt to divine the answer that I knew had been answered at some point previously, which I noted. I just forgot which thread it was in or the right search terms for that topic. I’ll accept the requisite scolding for my laziness.🤭3 points

I've never owned a high quality leather riding jacket;especially something as stylish as the OP's. For a short time way back in the day,I wore a tan colored Brimaco(?) MC jacket, bought at local dealer's going out of business sale. I suspect that with the quick rate the threads rotted away,it probably was on the rack since the shop's opening day Historically,I usually wore some type of loose sport team leather coat that I could add sweaters or vests as needed;back then, that served me well. I didn't crash a lot like some guys, most of my biking incidents were on dirt bikes. For my one & only high speed, road bike get off,I laid down my Yamaha XS1100,while wearing an old leather hockey jacket;we all escaped without major damage,I think the extra patch scuffed off the back of the jacket, probably just added to the, working class, worn patina look I was successfully going for The riding Gods, made sure that when I got back into riding almost a decade ago;I would be well protected on this, the second chapter of my riding life. As I was getting back into riding & buying used bikes & gear off Kijiji,I bought a used Shoei helmet from a kind, french gentlemen from Quebec named "Guy" who happened to be getting out of riding. As I'm slipping him a small amount of cash for the crappy old Shoei helmet,he hands me a bag with his well used red/black Rukka suit. I knew zero about quality gear,it was a few years before I realized the magnitude of his thoughtful kindness & generosity. The red in that old Rukka suit has faded to pink long ago. It has a patch over hot exhaust pipe damage,,the clasps on the zippers are mcgyver repaired as needed, one zipper on the leg cuff gave up the ghost long ago,,, a simple reminder to take my time getting into my gear properly,,,it's not a stylish piece of kit,but it's served me well.3 points

Haha, well, that is a "reintroduced" Shure SM55 microphone. She reminds me of mySport in "many ways." The "ROCK'N"RUN" banners/placards were supplied to the dealers with the introduction of the V11 Sport. Truth be known, the dealers probably had to pay for them in order to stock the new model. As far as the ambient temperature sensor, @Gmc28, I don't recall my advice from the past, but enclose it protected from the weather (a canister or encasement of sorts) and secure it along the spine frame where it will find the ambient temperature, incoming to the intakes . . .2 points

Too chilly to ride, busy with work and "other things" but found time to re-hang my treasured "ROCK'N'RUN " promo banner that my dealer gifted me. A "household incident" had torn it down, much to my chagrin. Better, now! ROCK'N'RUN, y'all!2 points

No it's modified. Had the bell cut off it to fit the pod filter at some point. https://www.officine08.com/p69547_intake-joint-moto-guzzi-1100-sport-i-e-air-filter.html Airbox seal https://www.stein-dinse.com/en/moto-guzzi-rubber-air-filter-short-1100-sport-i-e-corsa/item-1-1127372.html Phil1 point

Does it look like it has been cut/chopped/modified in any way? If not I'd think it's probably the original part. I can't remember exactly how they seal to the box. Usually it's some sort of lipped flange but if push comes to shove you could simply install the box and then seal around them with silastic. Not ideal but a zillion times better than pods.1 point

Item 19 is important. The shape improves airflow into the throttle body. It's called "velocity stack", "bellmouth", or "trumpet", and you should try hard to get the right parts. Have you checked to see if they are wedged into whatever gravel strainer pod filters you had before?1 point

2023 50 stops rocker patch arrived to ornate my decades old jacket.... (purchased in 2003). Photo at the top in the reporting thread. Looking forward to 2024!1 point

I always liked Junior Brown; he get a lot of music out of minimal foot print. Look at the drummer's kit... his wife at the rhythm guitar, upright bass, nothing more required. Close to be a one man show.1 point

My trusty steed is an 04 Cafe Sport, the shift spring originally on the bike is the same offending one that breaks, I went through four of them in about six years before I purchased the upgraded one from Scud some years ago, I purchased two ‘just in case’ but it’s never been an issue since.1 point

Indeed; the public started to mess up at that point, not having the help of reading the music at the same time. I found that the quarter rest at the end of each bar, before the one, was a big help. I had no problem if keeping time with my foot. However, if not using anything but my "sense of time", I was rushing with the triplet feels.1 point

That Lukas Nelson fingerboard work reminds of this (IMO:under-rated) guitarist. Grooving to "Bridge of Sighs" on the 8-track in the high school Florida cruise/beach scene was pretty eclectic. We all thought the vocals were Trower, but no. Vocals are the bassman, James Dewar. We had no idea, in the day, what a master guitarist Robin Trower was . . . Best audio version I could find:1 point

I am a sucker for keeping my Le Mans as close as possible to its original state, including accessories. This is one of the reason I got the odometer fixed rather than going digital. The Le Mans mirrors cannot fold, and mine are still doing the job even if the reflected image has holes. In any case, I always verify by directly looking before I change lanes. So it is purely subjective. I have a couple of leads I am going to follow; if push comes to shove, I will live with the defect, although I am afraid they will only get worse.1 point

Well Fri. night when I got home from work , I put the chargr on the black frame , got up Saturday morning and pushed it out of the shop , then over to the water hose . Washed off two years of dust and then cranked for about 45 seconds before it started. Cleaned it up pretty good and decided to go down the road . OMG , this bike had head shake immediately off idle . I thought the steering head had rusted in place . After about 30 nins of inspection I realized the front tire belts had broken down . The best test method is to out on a brown Jersey glove and lightly rub the tire surface . This glove amplifies the problems and you can feel any imperfections with the tire problem(s) . New tire on order and will be here Friday ! Just in time gor the weather to dtop into the 30s ! FWIW , it has been two years .1 point

You get a rocker patch with the year's millesime; the patch has either one or two stars to distinguish 25 or 50 stops completed. I found it is a good incentive to ride. Even if this year, the temperatures made any venture challenging and the tropical rains are posing a problem from the safety point of view. I use the Radar app, and I plan my rides carefully. When you see what happened in New-York and New-Jersey, you need to be factoring the weather seriously. The current infrastructures were never conceived for this kind of rainfalls.1 point

The only single plate clutches/ aluminum flywheels are the 2001 Rosso Mandello, and 2002 Scura and Tenni. The Café Sport is a Coppa Italia in a grey flannel suit with a black Fedora . . .1 point
