Ah yes, the March of the (Noisy) morons! Performance gain? Zilch. Annoyance factor for people who hate motorbikes? Off the scale. Fatigue inducement factor? Probably an 8 out of 10.

What are Agostinis thinking. You could drive a truck between those new header pipes and the cylinder block. Nicely shaped and tucked in they are not. A tighter bend to get the pipe closer to the block and tucked in won't have any affect on the performance gains if there are indeed any at all. As for the sound, far too loud. If it sounds loudish revving at a standstill on a whiff of throttle then under load with the throttle blades really open it will be obnoxiously loud. The clue is in the size of the muffler. You can't efficiently silencer a 1000cc twin with a muffler of that physical dimension. It saves weight but the trade off is noise and headers that stick out like a set of crash bars. Phil

I was baffled (pun intended) to see them at that kind of price. Especially nowadays when everything is so expensive!

@Joe while I am not certain that I like the sound of the Agostini exhaust, I got that he installed a mix of Mistral header pipes, combined with the Agostini slip-ons. I don't understand why he "refrains from riding the bike yet".

I have suggested quite a few stops along these three years, and I can see not a single one made the cut. Not that I mind, but the San Jacinto monument as an alternative we already had it as a stop in 2021; mind you, I am not going to complain since it is right around the corner in La Porte. Many Courthouses too. There is a full solar eclipse in 2024; Marfa will be a popular destination to observe it. I was hoping he would put some stops on the US-90; such as the Judge Roy Bean museum. Noticed the Big Bend Biker's hotel has gone from the sponsor's list. I really liked the motorcycle covered parking and accommodations. But the new owner is looking for a different kind of guests, wanting turnkey excursions to the park. Too bad...

Ooh nice thread. Just purchased some TI cans with a couple of small dings. Now to find some PVC pipe and more importantly some IPA. The dents are removed more easily with some throat lubricant I take it!
