Ha ha Whist 30 + degrees doesn't faze Aussies much it knocks the tripe out of Kiwi's... especially those of us from the South! I remember when I first got here ( Winter ) and I had to sleep on top of the bed with no covers for many months and when being driven round in a car had to have the windows down much to everyone else's amusement! Ha ha I've been here near on 40 years and I still don't like the heat! I got used to it a little back then but as now older find I'm getting more intolerant of it again.... Oh well it's a reasonable 18 degrees outside so in a couple of hours I'll retreat to the balcony with a glass o vino and refine my grumpy ole git routine! The wine will be a better anesthetic then the weak as bats piss painkillers they gave me for my back.... Cheers4 points

If I recall my science anywhere close, at zero degrees Kelvin: the sun freezes up and the Universe screeches to a halt. Pretty sure I'll never get mySport started after that . . .4 points

Pretty sure all the Kiwis on the forum are at least a hundred. Even the ones that have moved to Australia to veil their true identity . . .3 points

Yes apologies but we've been snowed in here. Just able to get out on the road today. Snow isn't too deep but its just sheets of ice and impossible to drive on. I attached a picture of my front driveway... Looks nice but I'm ready to get out of the house! Packaging is all ready and the Paypal account should be up and running. To help me keep track of everything may I request that everyone send an email to me with their name in the Subject line. Just your name, thats all. That will make it easier to identify each of you when communicating and searching for someone to email with tracking info. In the body of your email, tell me your FULL address for shipping and any specific requirements and I can coordinate with you that way. I'll have work out individual shipment costs because we have people all over the world... Ideally I'd like to make just a couple trips to ship, so if I can get as many names as possible over the next few days then I can do a run later next week. email me at: sales@theelementwebsite.com Hopefully that works for everyone. Once all is shipped and paid for I will make the donation and send Pete the confirmation. Thanks for your patience guys! Cheers. Andrey3 points

I am not an ace at troubleshooting a V11, but the discipline is always the same, for any investigation: -start with the easiest and obvious, and get deeper and more technical; have you checked the fuel? is the pump turning on when you switch on the ignition? are all the fuses ok? then check your plugs, check you have ignition...3 points

I thought I should give you an update on my Quota Quest; I am waiting on the current owner to give me an update on the tires' status. It all comes down to that I want to bring it back to Houston, riding it. Also, the cold front was not really ideal to ride. The communication is slow, and I do not want to pester him since he hinted that selling the Quota was not a big priority, that he had some more pressing matters to settle, and he was overwhelmed by the number of email he was receiving. Anyhow, we established that I was interested to purchase it, providing it was in the state shown on the photos. I believe those pictures are old, as the sticker is dated 2020, however he told me that he had re-registered the bike more recently. As soon as I get the word on the tire, I will schedule my flight to Phoenix. This will be my second attempt to come back with a bike via the road. The first one did not go too well.2 points

Ha ha Would love to but I'm still waiting to get the bike back from her Rubber surgery.... ie replacement of Breather and Inlets etc... In the meantime, I've thrown my back out after chasing a water pipe leak in the roof space of the house.. Why the hell didn't I just turn the bloody water off and call a plumber in the first place.....Arghhhh. Yep, been to hospital poked prodded jabbed and dosed up... now just waiting for it to heal! So even if she was sitting in the carport there's not much I could do but hobble up there and look at her! Bugger # 3 or 4....actually I've lost bloody count now! Cheers Ps At least it's Friday and wine o clock in T minus 3 hours 15 minutes !2 points

You can take off the fuel line to the pressure valve. Just to check if you have some good pressure. Do you change your fuel filter regulary? And is it cold in your area? I had 20w50 in my California at 0° Celsius, and that requires a very good battery. I needed support from the jumper. If the RPMs are to low the elect ign will not fire. 10w60 in the V11 is also thick oil at these temperatures.1 point

Buy two new spark plugs , I prefer NGK . Turn the ign to KOEO , key on engine off. Listen for the fuel pump to turn on . This will last for a second or two. MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE THIS ACTION TAKES PLACE. If this happens , go to the next step. If not swap relays and see what happens. I can't remember which position is the fuel pump relay , just look in your wiring diagram to verify. Remove the old plugs and inspect them... If they look good , install the new plugs. Spark plugs can look good but be bad . Turn the key on and again listen for the fuel pump to energize , then start the bike . Allow it to warm up and ride it to see if it is fixed.1 point

I am very fond of his ballads; "Cry for you" is one of his oldest, and kind of his signature song, which he plays to end most of his live performances; the version shown in this YT video is recent and done without his band. Nevertheless, a pretty good effort. I have the exact same guitar, purchased in 2000. Unfortunately, I now know that you need more than just the guitar to be a serious guitar player.... duh! Last photo is him and me, in Frankfort Germany, at the Music Messe. He is checking my guitar, and will letter play it during his set. Caution: we both looked a lot younger there...1 point

Docc referred to this thread, and I notice there hasn't been any photos for a while. Too busy riding, or what? There's about 3 inches of snow on the ground here, maybe even 5 or 6. I haven't ridden for months, and I'm a little homesick for Australia at the moment. Get your arses on the bike and take some photos.1 point
