  1. Hey LaGrasta...nice to be back... Ya..I drop the triple trees a lot ... my present Versys 650 ( great little bike...but...) I dropped about 1.5in. after dropping the ass end with a trick little bracket that's available. My years of experience converting MXers to ice racing and playing with suspension dropping the trees 4- 5in. was common. Getting the front to bite into the corner but keeping the back tire hooking up was a constant tweak. A great part of ice racing was all the experimenting. Sprokets, lowering, jetting ...how much and viscosity of beer in the forks. Guiness was too stiff, Bud too light...a good IPA was about right. At the time the only one available was Bass Ale. Don't know what they're using today......

  2. Hi Mick, no, 15mV tolerance is not sufficient. The total spread between the first breakpoints is ~20mV. Assuming you are off +15mV from 157mV would put the TPS well within the range of the next breakpoint; target missed. Even +/-10mV is stretching it thinly, +/-5mV is the highest tolerance I would go for. Cheers Meinolf

  3. G'day. Riding a V7lll Rough and 1200 Sport. V11 still broken, hence no activity here, sadly. I'll retire one of these years and perhaps then get to the V.11 and other broken things.

  4. Pete Roper made some comments about gearbox backlash here: https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/topic/25672-light-rattle-in-gearbox-when-pushing-my-bike/?do=findComment&comment=278017

  5. Rode to work again today, all is still well. Whatever it was, it's gone.

  6. What gearbox is it? 5-speed, or 6? My straight-cut 5 speed takes about a quarter mile to take up the slack between rolling the throttle on and off, due to having only 3 dogs per gear.

  7. I feel the same. Since VR46 exited, I can't garner much interest. Maybe the Ducati made the expected outcome too predictable. This year, with Mark Marquez able to fight "à armes égales", there should be some more suspense. It is also going to be interesting to follow Pedro Acosta's progression. Although, it takes now one year to completely master the current MotoGP bikes; I am talking about what riders have to operate during the race, especially the suspensions. It is like in F1 now. They continuously need to fiddle with the settings. It takes a lot of practice to not fumble with it.

  8. Had the pleasure of visiting Meinolf with a couple of ECU’s, since aim not a computer guy. BIG respect, so just listen to the gentleman. Not easy to get it correct first time, you will D feel the difference after a few try’s. So take your time doing it. Cheers Tom

  9. A big welcome, @WildRover1916! Yours is the kind of inspirational story that deserves its own thread, IMO . . . (If your up for it, I'll start it with these posts. You can ask me to edit the title to your liking later.)

  11. Ever one has there own reasons for listening to music but I came across a chat session with Molly Tuttle and Tommy Emmanual. This is kind of a three fer one with music at intro, 7:00 minutes, and 17:30 minutes. I got interested in the claw hammer technique she was demonstrating and found a more isolated version of her preforming it.

  12. Thanks, I've done fresh gas and battery. Next bit of free time will be oil and brake fluid. I loved riding this bike years ago when it was new, hands down my favorite bike.

  14. I'm not talking about "DRAFTING".. I'm talking about chicken shit waiting to go out and targeting specific rider's to annoy...I was around then..., and racing myself.
