  2. Do use an eraser to clean the contacts of the bulb/lamp and the holder . Put a contact grease in the socket to keep this from happening again . My bike did the same thing !

  4. Those, Rosso Mandellos, Scuras and the other numbered bikes have gotten VERY rare. Many are just gone. The clean ones owned by a Guzzi hoarder will cost a testicle. It took me 12 years to find a Scura. And that baby was dropped and has some type of electrical gremlin I'm addessing from years ago. Likly from a halfass splice somewhere to install LED signals. Petty for an old bike, but there. Replacing the rectifier next week (dang, I should move this to the tech section). I'll keep an eye open for ya. But chances are it'll have an issue or two. If you're looking for "super clean", I know a spot in Mandello Del Lario that has one. I think it's the Guzzi museum? There only 160 or 170 Tenni models made. 300 Rosso Mandellos. 600 Scuras were made and those are unicorns. I only know these trivial numbers from drooling over these as a broke guy in my 20s back in the day.

  5. Is Marc Marquez going to make his first podium at Portimao this week-end? He seems to be going pretty well, on his second GP. If it does not get on top, he will not be far.

  6. Indeed, but still on the other side of the country. I had a search a while back, and immediately found at least three luthiers in Leipzig, one of which who specialises in electric guitars. No idea how good they, but if I wanted to start looking, I could start here. However, as you say, good guitars cost a fortune, and I can't even play very well, so I'm not looking. Deliberately. If I did even think about looking, things might get very expensive very quickly.

  8. Man, you stepped in it on your first post lol We've all had it, seems like there is no 'patent' sure cure Everybody will be along soon enough to pile on the thread and direct you to the appropriate historical threads to read. My '97 1100 Sport-i had stock cans with a Feracci crossover- nearly undrivable at 3k rpm. After months and miles of proper tune-ups, replaced sensors, and an aftermarket tunable ECU I could never completely tune it out. Minimal yes, and mostly ok but I'm a perfectionist for drivability. Mine finally completely resolved only with the installation of a cam drive gearset replacing the chain and weak-suck stock chain tensioner. i don't know that anyone else has reported the same, though more than a couple here have the gearset. Put your reading glasses on and your warm garage socks and settle in to the comfortable mindset that it will never be resolved, then you'll be extra happy when you hit the combination that your particular bike needs.

  9. its been warm enough to go for a few rides with my transformed guzzi... 50s during the day here ... salt is pretty much washed off the roads, though road crews havent fixed the pot holes yet ... stock airbox makes the v11 sounds better, even great, it sounds better ... i don't notice a power difference at all - seems like a totally appropriate and good refit .... rizoma mirrors are awesome (thanks again @Lucky Phil) no wobble, nice coatings, and as you said i have totally forgotten how much they cost and only notice the quality ... maybe my next initiative will be to remap to gain better MPG if possible. Oil change is complete (purchased the oil filter wrech suggested by @gstallons) Bike is running great. just need some better cold weather pants and a baklava for these early spring days.
