  1. Heads back today. Another quide VERY loose. Oversize quides from Guzzi not big enough, so they made 4 new ones. Expensive but superb. Happy friday here. Cheers Tom. Sent fra min SM-S906B via Tapatalk

  2. Hi , Thanks for all of the responses and information provided. I’m using a modified caterpillar test lead (pictured )which is not ideal and may have contributed to my confusion. After testing the old TPS using the info above it is definitely faulty and doesn’t have the range as described. The new TPS has the full range to 5v but the lowest reading is around 200 mv whilst mounted. ( ie the slotted holes run out of adjustment. I can get 157 mv with very slight pressure once the screws are removed. ) I might try to elongate the screw holes slightly to achieve 157 mv. I will have more time over the weekend to work on the bike

  3. I've been shamed into performing my proper moderator duties and move these (valuable) posts here instead of being a total slacker . . . Share your shop/garage A/C, heat, and dehumidifier insights here.

  4. Yeah , 15-18 v could make things exciting !

  5. Check voltages, especially charging at some rpm, for excessive voltage suggesting a failed regulator.

  6. I would use a ring terminal and crimp it to the wire as good as possible and use screws to connect it to the CB instead of the push on terminals

  7. I am beginning to think these wiring harnesses are like ignition keys . They are exclusive to each bike .

  8. The TPS should read 157mV when the RH throttle is closed fully, well below the idle setting. I think you would see about 400-500mV at idle. To get the butterfly fully closed, the RH end of the interconnecting rod ball joint needs to be popped off, and the idle stop screw needs to be backed out until it doesn't hold the throttle open. If the voltage reading doesn't change smoothly from below idle to WOT, then it's time to get a new TPS. Don't ignore the tiniest cracks in the rubber tubes between the throttle bodies and inlet stubs. Replacing these should be a 10 year routine job.

  9. Not jealous. No, really, I'm not. I'm sharing about 30 qm. with three other blokes. One of them is always doing something to one or two of his three bikes. The only power in there is photovoltaic, and it is a bit damp. So I'm not jealous at all of your 78 qm. air-conditioned garage. Not a bit. Well, maybe just a tiny bit...

  10. Seen at Moto International in Seattle in 2015. A nice-looking Rosso Corsa.

  11. Well, I had already attempted to wire in an ATC fuse holder, and then a MAXI fuse holder, outside the fuseblock. The location of the circuit breaker's connections back under the tail cowl required an extension of the nefarious little green/red charging wire from the regulator and I built a larger gauge new wire connection from the circuit breaker to the battery. Not that adding a bigger wire downstream from smaller one helps in any way . . .
