  2. While you wait for a better TPS, (see Phil's suggestion) try popping the bottom off and looking for the reason why you can't get enough travel. There may be plastic molding flash, or some other rework will allow you to get back on the road. I measured the resistance of an old TPS that was worn and erratic but gives some representative figures. Top pin to mid pin: 2.65KΩ Throttle closed; 2.65KΩ Throttle open. Mid pin to bottom pin: 3.84KΩ Throttle closed; 1.22KΩ Throttle open. Top pin to bottom pin: 1.22KΩ Throttle closed; 3.92KΩ Throttle open.

  4. I suspect you’re right Docc , it was sourced off eBay. It was cheap and sounded like it fit the bill. 😒

  5. I've been shamed into performing my proper moderator duties and move these (valuable) posts here instead of being a total slacker . . . Share your shop/garage A/C, heat, and dehumidifier insights here.

  7. Is it a PF3 TPS? There are different options out there, but the 15M ECU is optimized for the 2 rate response curve of the PF3.

  8. I would declare that TPS faulty, in that case (even if newly manufactured). Where did you source it?

  9. Hi , Thanks for all of the responses and information provided. I’m using a modified caterpillar test lead (pictured )which is not ideal and may have contributed to my confusion. After testing the old TPS using the info above it is definitely faulty and doesn’t have the range as described. The new TPS has the full range to 5v but the lowest reading is around 200 mv whilst mounted. ( ie the slotted holes run out of adjustment. I can get 157 mv with very slight pressure once the screws are removed. ) I might try to elongate the screw holes slightly to achieve 157 mv. I will have more time over the weekend to work on the bike

  10. I just had an 18 SEER, 2 ton, SAMSUNG mini-split installed in an 850 square foot garage with a twelve foot ceiling. This has completely transformed the space into something that can be used to work in or play music, including keeping sensitive string instruments there.

  12. I am just back from Burnet Texas, I had to give up. I was in an "older" type of resort, and the room temperature was 85F/30C with the window air-conditioning set to minimum temperature. It is so hot that any kind of activity becomes a burden. I had booked an astronomy presentation, and even then, could not properly see the Milky Way because of the humidity in the air. The setup was ideal, since the moon was 1%. Now we have to contend with Beryl...

  13. I watched MM93 starting 13th on the grid, and taking to the mids one rider at a time. It is not only that he is good at riding fast, but he is very astute in overtaking his opponents. I think he does it better than most of the rest. I think that not only he is a great pilot, but also a great tactician. I don't think many in the actual GP can stand up to him on pure plotting and planning passes. He combines many skills under one helmet. It makes me wonder though, did he plan to kill Martin's de facto move to Ducati? I am not certain. In any case, he played his cards very well. In fact, looking back, each time he has started from a back position on the grid, he managed to make his way up relatively easily compared to other riders starting in the same retro positions. I expect him to manage the same exploit tomorrow.

  16. Yes, the 2003-on Rosso Corsa are long frame V11 with the long tank (internal pump/filter) and the LeMans faring with the checkerboard graphics. And Ohlins!). @MojoFuzzi's Rosso Corsa The 2001 Rosso Mandello is a special edition first generation Sport with short (black) frame, short tank (chin pad with external pump/filter), and a carbon fiber "flyscreen" (fork mounted). @Guzzijens's Rosso Mandello If you leave a Rosso Corsa and a Rosso Mandello in the garage too long without adult supervision, a Ballabio could be the outcome . . . @Steve S's Ballabio

  17. Not jealous. No, really, I'm not. I'm sharing about 30 qm. with three other blokes. One of them is always doing something to one or two of his three bikes. The only power in there is photovoltaic, and it is a bit damp. So I'm not jealous at all of your 78 qm. air-conditioned garage. Not a bit. Well, maybe just a tiny bit...
