My Hyperpro should be here in the next couple of days. I'll take some photos of it "out of the box" before I put it in.3 points

Again, the meme was not a put down to Guzzi. The low-tech Hungarian guy was the hero of the event - taking the silver medal with ease with a much lower-tech old school set up.2 points

...I wouldn't take it too seriously. But i think it somewhat accurately depicts BMW as always pursuing the latest technology (at times to their detriment), and Guzzi getting the job done well with less tech flash. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk2 points

Suit yourself. I use mine a lot. It's paid for, so it must be used.1 point

Yep. I wouldn't use anything else. I reckon that block gets a bit of a hammering.1 point

phil , if you're talking about the throttle body screws that hold the fuel injectors to the throttle body , WOW , That stuff was assembled with the understanding that it is now an assembly never to be touched. I had the fuel injectors rebuilt on both my bikes and wondered if those screws were coming out or not. No Loctite on NEW screws goin back together . I use a 1/4" stubby metric hex head from SnapOn . No Harbor Freight on something this critical .1 point

Ha ha, what a hoot! Sorry to interrupt this broadcast but we Kiwi's never got it ( Matlock Police ) in NZ back in the day and seemed to have missed any re-runs when I lobbed into Oz at the end of 85. I had heard of it though. Recognised one of the er... outlaws (?) as matey who starred as the Norton riding undercover cop in Stone and of course Paul Cronin aka Mr Sullivan from The Sullivans. Actually, the pub scenes in the Sullivans were filmed at a wee local in Abbotsford called the Retreat. In the eighties I used to work a few hundred metres away from it and we'd have Xmas drinks in there...Great wee place. Cheers Ps My wife had a Monaro just like the one in the clip ( long before we met though ) and we laugh about it sometimes and wish she still had it tucked away in a shed.... Pps apologies for adding to the thread drift but I'm sure normal transmission will be resumed shortly.....1 point

Because to me it looks like a spherical bearing was used in the damper clamp and I therefore asked the question and the response was "yes" and the the discussion went from there. Phil1 point

Sorry, absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand, but you just reminded me of this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAu_q1uvtGM I was between 8 and 12 years old during the first run, and I think I was never "officially" allowed to watch it, even the re-runs that no doubt happened. I don't really remember anything much, but the tile is still present. Etched in my memory, so to say. The show was based in this Matlock, I gather: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matlock,_Victoria Incidentally, the two-door car in the title sequence is a Holden Monaro, a HG I think. I had a HK for a number of years, and loved it. Anyway, back to the topic...1 point

They are very common here in the building industry and available just about everywhere. The fact that they don't use them commonly or at all in engineering that I know of probably tells you something. Personally I have no issues with Torx screws. Better than Allen heads for stripping out. Problem is generally with shallow head fasteners but you get that with Allen head as well in button head and countersunk screws that have a reduced slot depth. On a Guzzi lots of fasteners were installed with Loctite because Guzzi don't care about future maintenance requirements so you need to use lots of heat on those fasteners and then throw them away. I've never used loctite on any brake part on anything in my life. The classic is Loctite on the 4mm throttle body screws! Madness. Phil1 point

From the pictures provided there’s nothing to indicate that the HyperPro is mounted any differently than the stock dampener. I’m not sure what you are seeing that would suggest otherwise.1 point

I have one loose. 21.98mm width (Your photo). 14mm height. 20.50 length or depth. hole is the same all the way thru at 9.95mm1 point

My new titanium rotor bolts arrived last night. Although I was careful in ordering, the bolts were not exactly as advertised. Specifically, the unthreaded shoulder was slightly longer than the 5mm stated on Amazon. You can see the difference: I was a little concerned that the shoulder on the new bolts would be too long to fit in the recesses of the wheel, but they appear to just fit in and snug up the rotor before bottoming. I think they look rather nice in gold. In case anyone is interested in weight, I have 2 extra, so I can weigh as compared to stock. However, as someone here once alluded to, the difference is probably equivalent to the difference between a quarter pounder with cheese or without cheese . So, as I was putting the wheel back on Bubbles, specifically, sliding the brake bracket onto the "block" (#37636105) to hand on the spindle, I realized that there is no block. As I had the back end apart after purchase to take stock and tidy up, I should have realized that the block was missing. Anywho, I'll be fabricating a new block. I can always measure the one from the Tenni, but it'd be easier if I could just get dimensions. I have this: But, if anyone has easy access to this block, could I get dimensions? Many thanks! Cheers, Frey1 point

G'day mate Yep they mount up just like the standard unit ! I've had mine for about 7 years and nearly 50,000 kays without an issue of any sort! Ha ha cheers James, I love this bike eh. I've owned some iconic bikes in the past but I can't think of any other bike that I've owned where the magic of owning /riding it is still there after 10 + years and 70,000 kays. Still look back at it as I walk away after a ride too... A beautiful madness ha ha1 point
