  3. I like the Supercat, but I've always been an XJS fan, come close to buying one a time or two. I love the box fender flares, these are probably more a Renault LeCar to R5 Turbo 2 transformation than a 924 to 944, but well done. My biggest gripe would be the headlights, I wish they would have done a modern version of the European flush headlights instead of the US DOT headlights. But I would wager if you have one, you might find a beautiful woman you hardly know to do something for/to you.....

  5. Y'all Indiana boys know to be thankful for Tennessee "corn squeezin's". Why else would there be so many fast, black Fords with big trunks burning up I-65 . . .

  10. So did I, and the ebay advert had it as a 2005, which MIGHT be when it was registered in Japan, no idea? However I've just found in my extensive selection of old motorcycle magazines a UK test of a Cafe Sport from November 2003. The paper VIN label on the frame of mine under the tank actually lists it as a Cafe Sport so from a homologation aspect Guzzi appears not to discriminate between the Coppa and the Cafe?

  11. Yep, apparently "Dino" was his nickname; died at age 24 in 1956. The Dino were produced 1957-1976, initially as the single seat racer. Probably worth saying that "Dino" was not a car, but a Ferrari sub-Brand that produced various cars over its run..

  12. The trick is getting the load through Kentucky. Not so much from the rev'nuers, but the hi-jackers. Those Kentucky boys are all Big Bourbon talk. Until the moonshine shows up.

  14. It's a Pirelli Angel GT2, same as the front (well not the same but you know what I mean!). Good reviews o we shall see. Thanks for all the kind comments. Good news today is I had confirmation all the import taxes (VAT declaration called NOVA here in UK) have been paid, I'd had my doubts despite the vendor's reassurances but unfounded. So contacted UK Guzzi Owner's club for a dating certificate and then registration application proper can begin! STOP PRESS: Just been informed by UK Guzzi club I don't need a dating certificate as it's under 25 years old (10th VIN digit =2003) so all systems go, just get an MoT (yearly roadworthy test) next!

  15. Lots of pretty Italian cars. Hard to pick one. Back to the subject, that TWR Supercat ain't gonna make anyone's pretty list. Looks like a local garage-built dirt racer stock car from the '60's. Just knock all the windows out, and it looks ready for the 3rd Heat Race. It looks like it already has a fencepost for the front bumper.

  17. You mean how many wires need to be re-connected when the battery was out, don't you? I assume the original state is only one (fat) wire to each terminal, like most vehicles. The thing is, one never knows, on a bike one isn't familiar with, what may have been added to or altered in the wiring loom. For instance, my Breva 750 has only one additional wire to +, the modification to get battery plus direct to the starter solenoid. From memory, my V11 has 2 wires on minus and 3 on plus, but the wiring loom has obviously been modified, so that is nothing to go by. It looks like it was only the two fat ones originally. My V35 Imola is the clear winner: 3 (or 4?) on minus, and 4 (or 5?) on plus. It also originally only had the two, I believe. However, it has acquired a mount for the navigation device, a different alternator and electronic ignition, all of which brought additional connectors to the battery with them. I really should build some sort of "connector busbar" so there are only the two wires on the battery. PS: I've gotten into the habit of binding the connectors from each pole together when I disconnect them. Experience shows that is too easy to miss one out when reconnecting if I don't do that.
