  1. Hi Chuck & Gene, Several years ago I bought Deoxit D5 for cleaning bike switches, etc. Around the same time I also used it on the receiver pots and then was led to believe it was the wrong stuff for that task. Anyway, if you think their "Gold" is better suited for receiver pots, I'll get some.....the receiver is crackling again on one channel. Happy Holidays! Art PS - I think I might be slightly allergic to the 4.5oz $200 + S & H stuff.

  4. According to here, that is not "cans produced", but cans actually sold: https://www.redbull.com/int-en/energydrink/company-profile On the topic of how a "Soda company" can afford to sponsor all those sports events, I wrote further up that I'm sure they make a profit from a large part of that. Look here: apparently 2023 was a bad year despite good success in F1 racing. Profits went down, and they only made about £20 million profit. https://www.gpblog.com/en/news/304625/red-bull-annual-figures-show-less-profit-despite-more-revenue-in-2023.html I feel really sorry for them. Only 20 million pounds, must be hard...

  5. A LOOOOONG time ago Channel Master tuner cleaner was the way to go. You may have to go to eBay for that stuff. For now , if you can find a Radio Shack that still exists or someone that has any NOS , Radio Shack sold a good tuner cleaner . If you can't find any I will send you some. There is some cluck on eBay selling a 4.5oz can for $200+shipping . Unless this has a mixture of DMT and STENDA , I don't think it is worth it ? WD-40 is marketing a tuner cleaner but ..............

  6. That would be only slightly off topic in the "Tube Amps" thread. Easy enough to move the post there . . .

  7. @PJPR01 I updated the original post with the map for the 2025 tour; 50 stops, 5 alternates, 5 Republic of Texas stops. As before, you can copy the map and save it on your google drive to build your own itineraries. The Wyoming ROT #5 seems very far away... 19 hours one way without the stops.... Stop #25, which is any Veteran of Foreign War post, I picked the one in Navasota, since we have already one stop there. But of course, there are others.

  8. The best thing I ever saw done to an XJ6 was a Chev SB conversion. Even here on unsalted roads the body rusted in no time though. Phil

  9. and they got it right on nearly all counts. The only thing is the XJ-C. I've no doubt that it was an elegant and satisfiying car, but I saw one once somewhere. It did look a bit odd. The four-door XJ was a design that just should have been left as it was. It didn't need a "coupe" version. The two-door thing was covered admirably by the XJ-S, a truly beautiful car, but it did come a bit later. I mentioned the Triumph Stag a bit further up. That or an XJ-S would be a difficult decision. That or an XJ-C wouldn't. The Stag would win hands down.

  12. Did the "Decent Tune-Up" this weekend. -- Found the TPS voltage was way low, the CO trim was already at zero, and the vacuum caps on the intakes looked good but were nearly disintegrated ! Throttle bodies only needed a little adjustment to balance nicely at 2500 RPM. My 2003 LeMans is running smoothly -- Thanks to the Forum for the excellent instructions

  14. I recall that Mike at MPH had an orange Laverda in his home shop. I wonder if he still has it…I don’t recall the model however…will have to see if I have a picture somewhere. It was a beauty!
