Somehow this reminded me of pulling the 'Sport into a parking lot full of new sportbikes.4 points

HadaDaytona contacted me about this scammer. I told him to put up a warning on the forum for everyone to read. If the scammer turns out to be a forum member I will name & shame him and take all appropriate measures. Fwiw: I can’t read personal messages either. Maybe if I go directly into the database, but then I still have to decode them. Let HadaDaytona reply to this thread or send me a PM. Then we can do something about it4 points

Mate, lets just say I don't think much of their business ethics... Even less of their political motivations! Cheers3 points

What more "tacky" than wearing them, lol. Don't get me wrong I can enjoy "tacky" sometimes but if you're going to wear it then you gotta embrace whatever comments come your way. Phil2 points

As far as that goes, I don't have the means to enlarge the diagrams, but have found it very helpful to "extract" the various parts of the wiring loom from the wiring diagram. The pdf on the computer, which I can zoom in on, on the one hand, and a standard A4 print and coloured pens on the other hand to document the individual circuits. Once I've followed an individual circuit, it is pretty easy to understand. For those who think elecrickery is some kind of magic, it's not. I'm neither an electrician nor an electronics engineer. I studied music theory, but I ended up being a sound engineer. Doing that for a living does makes one very good at understanding what is connected to where, but it is not hard. Just remeber that "more Volts" will always try to find the path to "less Volts". That is all there is to it, really.1 point

A friend has one. Concur, there is no good angle. Only the Witch's Magic Mirror can love this one.1 point

Most of these "amateur" UTubers dreaming to get millions of subs speak like this. They squeeze as many words out as they can; possibly to keep their viewers watching? For me, when the video starts with a talking head, no images but just words, I just move on. But for videos like the one above, I simply mute it, and a scrub to find the images that may be of interest, if any. As for the motorcycle reviews, any of those with the video camera on their helmets, meaning jerky movements through the ride is a high pass too. At least, the two guys in the video above were real. Unlike A.I. generated images. But they are easily found because they CAN'T pronounce GUZZI properly... lol1 point

If anyone is contacted on the forum's Personal Message system with an email contact, please go to that message a click "Report" so the Admin can deal with the user. The tip-off is always "I have a friend" or "I have an uncle", rather than "here is my email address." All members, please note this post pinned in the "Wanted" classifieds:1 point

Plenty of opinions here, no doubt all of them valid in their own way. My two cents; Most anything can be made to fit, depending on how much effort you are willing to put into it. But if you expect it to bolt right up I doubt that is going to happen. Some bending, maybe cutting and welding, would likely be required. But as a guy who has made exhausts from a completely different motorcycle from a completely different manufacturer fit when something for my motorcycle simply didn't exist, it can be done. It is just a matter of how much effort are you willing to put into it.1 point

The name "Diavel" seems to play on "diavolo", devil. No doubt in the sense of "as ugly as the..."1 point

Visiting, yes. Hopefully, none of my two Guzzi are going to require hospital works for a long time.1 point

A good excuse to come and ride to Mike’s in Hempstead and then make a run to Round Top or environs! Let me know if you plan to visit…1 point

@PJPR01 MPH has closed down the Park Ten Avenue location... I went today, and they were finishing the packing. I spoke to Davey, he does not know yet when they are going to be up and running at the new place. I am sad to have lost the convenience to have a garage working on Moto Guzzi 10 minutes from home. According to Mike, business will be unaffected, and I understand why. His customers get their bikes delivered by transporters, they don't really ride them. So it does not matter where.1 point

@PJPR01 I forgot to tell you; Davey said that the Moto Guzzi dealer on the 59 in Houston, brings the bikes for service at MPH. They don't do the service in house. I am not sure if that applies to Wild West Motoplex.1 point

@PJPR01 I was at MPH today, for a quick check-in; According to Mike (Davey is out of commission for the time being), they are moving to Hempstead for certain. They will sign the deal later on this month, and will start the move in January 2025, to reopen in February 2025 if everything goes smooth. Too bad.. I am glad my two Guzzi are now working like clockwork, so unless anything major happens, I won't need their services any longer.1 point

I reached out to forum members in hope of finding parts for a Daytona RS build. I was contacted with a lead. The lead was an email of a guy named Leo. When I sent him an email he responded calling himself Sean and asked what I needed. I replied a Sport 1100 fuel tank and maybe a V10 engine right head. He sent me great photos of the tank with a great price $350 including shipping and said he thought he had a V10 engine. I said I would take the tank and he followed with information to wire money from to him (Basir Morgan) from my bank. My bank thought there were some red flags 🚩 I replied and asked if the V10 came out of a Sport 1100 ? He said yes. at this point I grabbed my wallet and ran. That night I was on EBay Germany looking for Guzzi parts when I saw all the photos he sent me for the Guzzi Fuel tank in an ad. Instead of $350 including shipping it was EUR 700 ! Just an FYI - I was getting scammed and almost lost $350 . eBay protects its buyers as well as PayPal.0 points
