  2. Surprised nobody has mentioned Carl Allison's schematics, I've found them pretty good, occassionally they have the odd error, but overall very easy to read. The factory wiring diagrams are pretty difficult to follow, at least for me Available on This Old Tractor, Gregg Bender's site https://www.thisoldtractor.com/guzzi007/sportissimo.html I'm taking a chance here but as @Kiwi_Roy seems to have gone Off Grid, I've dumped what schematics I have of his onto Drop Box in case anybody would like to grab them. I'm pretty sure he won't mind https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/no8adkie1sl6frnc2qmm8/ALzrUXsngCqMRtfMR1cXedE?rlkey=8x5byzd4ux3107610i22ig5v6&st=3xbx7rbu&dl=0

  4. Thank's @docc Good with me and if it helps the forum or other members then all the better. Do I need to do anything, let me know? I'll just keep the diagrams in my Dropbox, don't anticipate any problems with them residing there as it isn't something I use much anyway. Should you want to rehouse them that's also fine.

  5. Wow, @Weegie, what a great resource putting that all together! I suggest we put that post in "How To" as a reference, if you are up for that? edit: There are also @stewgnu's wiring diagrams for the 2002 and later V11 wiring including one showing the additional to address "Startus Interuptus" . . .

  6. I have two of the diagrams "blown up" to about 14X24 and laminated in plastic. I can use erasable markers on them. Also , I HAD at one time all of Kiwi_Roy's diagrams printed off . They are in color w/footnotes along w/V readings where needed. I could NOT find the headlight diagrams . I remember having them because there are two "styles" , earlyish and lateish ! There is a difference in them n I can't remember . It was silly whatever it was . I am going to have to search my folders here and find them or search this forum again and find them . He is offline here and has been for sometime. I reached out to him and never got a response . I wish him well ! BTW , I leave German automobile wiring diagrams alone . I last tried one on a M/B retractable hardtop. Got an American version and was able to understand it w/o any troubles.

  7. Tchaikovsky it is, then. At about 3:17, when the trippy Fantasia thistles go all Cossack, I feel mySport ripping off into the hillsides and along the creeks. All the melody up until then is just adjusting valves, seeing to tire pressures, and charging the battery . . .

  8. Disney's Fantasia is an amazing compilation of music with animated video. And, hey: 1940!! Tchaikovsky ?

  9. Pizza - not so hard to say...one wonders why Guzzi is such a challenge? Peetsah Gootsee Phonetics are not so difficult I imagine...just requires a bit of awareness!

  10. AI does good at simple mimicry. But is it ready for productivity and quality? Odd this popped up. I wrote a bit about AI today in Adv Rider. The set up was regarding govt spending cuts and inserting AI replacing, rather than assisting, subject matter specialists.

  11. The bad thing of it all is that you have to build what the public will / wants to buy . Those of us who appreciate a real motorcycle is are a small segment of the market.

  16. The music, it is this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dance_of_the_Hours but my earliest memory of the melody is this or maybe this Walt Disney, Fantasia. @LowRyter right on the money.

  18. As far as that goes, I don't have the means to enlarge the diagrams, but have found it very helpful to "extract" the various parts of the wiring loom from the wiring diagram. The pdf on the computer, which I can zoom in on, on the one hand, and a standard A4 print and coloured pens on the other hand to document the individual circuits. Once I've followed an individual circuit, it is pretty easy to understand. For those who think elecrickery is some kind of magic, it's not. I'm neither an electrician nor an electronics engineer. I studied music theory, but I ended up being a sound engineer. Doing that for a living does makes one very good at understanding what is connected to where, but it is not hard. Just remeber that "more Volts" will always try to find the path to "less Volts". That is all there is to it, really.

  22. I think your observations are spot on. I had to add into to my relay diagram, but reached the same conclusion as you.

  23. Although I've never owned a V11 I do have a Hi Cam and an R9T (a 2017 Racer). IMHO Pete hits the nail on the head, the boxer engine sounds lame! If you can get over that and the weight, mine feels significantly heavier than the Guzzis, the experience isn't that far apart. I purchased mine as I like retro styled bikes, don't need the power and like the overall simplicity of aircooled twins (especially with protruding jugs). If you're anything like me I'm sure you'll enjoy it. On the other hand you miight be subject to

  24. I reached out to forum members in hope of finding parts for a Daytona RS build. I was contacted with a lead. The lead was an email of a guy named Leo. When I sent him an email he responded calling himself Sean and asked what I needed. I replied a Sport 1100 fuel tank and maybe a V10 engine right head. He sent me great photos of the tank with a great price $350 including shipping and said he thought he had a V10 engine. I said I would take the tank and he followed with information to wire money from to him (Basir Morgan) from my bank. My bank thought there were some red flags 🚩 I replied and asked if the V10 came out of a Sport 1100 ? He said yes. at this point I grabbed my wallet and ran. That night I was on EBay Germany looking for Guzzi parts when I saw all the photos he sent me for the Guzzi Fuel tank in an ad. Instead of $350 including shipping it was EUR 700 ! Just an FYI - I was getting scammed and almost lost $350 . eBay protects its buyers as well as PayPal.
