  4. And with such wind on Maui, 1970! Look at those field expedient mic "filters" . . . After watching that entire concert online, I asked my lead guitar guy why he has fifteen pedals on his pedal board and Jimmy had two. He said, "Jimmy only has to sound like Jimmy. I have to sound like Jimmy, Stevie Ray, Clapton, David Gilmour, Keith Richards, Knopfler, Toy Caldwell, and myself."

  6. I've added this info to the first post in this thread as well. | Plates are $85 US, shipped to North America. International is plus actual shipping. I've sourced 2mm longer bolts (12 short, not 4 long) for the upper pan to keep thread engagement length through the plate and additional gasket. I've sourced Viton O-rings for the oil cooler pipes; I discovered mine were harder and uncomfortably loose in the bores. I've stocked upper and lower gaskets I can include all of the above for $135 US including shipping to North America. International shipping is $125 US plus actual shipping.

Now I need a new pump for one of my costumers, but I can't get in contact with Joe, nor by mail or by phone? Can you help me out? Thanks a lot, Cheers Peter Impens BCI Motorbikes.

  9. Thanks for that @Joe . I wasn't aware of that concert, but it seems there is a fair bit of it in the Tube. And the sound quality is fairly good for the time.

  11. Updated on December 23rd, 2024; Here's the map with the 2025 edition 50 stops, 5 alternative stops, and the B option, named Republic of Texas "ROT" which seems like an unfortunate name.

  12. speaking of good carpenters, this turned up a couple of years ago on the geman forum. I don't know if it has been here yet. If not, it should have.

  13. And now for something completely different... Someone showed me this earlier this evening. I thought it might be useful information towards solving the problem of how to play Rachmaninov if your hands are too small. It seems it is easy: all you need is a good carpenter and a capable assistant.

  14. Thanks for the info. I've got the plate here, might get around to installing it one day, but I wouldn't have thought of those details.

  15. There are two, perhaps three sockets needed to remove and install the retainers. According to Don, it's been a comedy of errors with the post office. They are having some issues with the postman himself.

  22. As you know, aesthetics are sometimes not the best criteria to help you decide. We usually learn to accept that something that may not have been the most "hit it off", can grow on you with time. But it needs to have something else that captures you and helps you forget the looks. The K1600 has that six cylinder engine that I always dreamed of, but it is not properly encased in the right ring. You may have the best diamond, pure and all, but if it is not properly cut, it loses its initial attraction. it needs to be cut to enhance all its properties. I think the Goldwing flat six does a better job to properly fit the bike.
