  1. To beat the anti spammer quiz question and register took me a great many guesses until I was just about ready to give up, at least 15 goes. All permutations of v,V11,Le,le,Mans,mans,spaces,no spaces,motoguzzi,MotoGuzziyadayada..... The answer to life the universe and everything is not 42, it's v11! I wonder if there would be way more members and far less guests if the question could be less ambiguous, like "fill the blank, .....lemans"
  2. I have deduced the problem is the way the forum displays photobucket in popups doesn't work on android. I can cut and paste the links manually, pita that it is. Directly linked photos display fine.

Any chance the manual has a typo? Easy to test. It beggars belief that out of the box isn't adjustable from completely out of proscribed range.
  4. Could use a pictorial of locally hosted pics, including the end assembly.
  5. That girl has marvellous legs but terrible eyesight.

My guess is it's actually righty-tighty and you preload by turning the clockwise direction.
  7. There was an interesting note in another how to about harshness due to not inserting some hex end into some hex hole, so preloading extra . Not seeing it in the pics.
  8. I don't have an actual "bucket list" but if I did, touring the South Island of NZ on a bike would be on it. I've been to the North Island a couple times - stunningly beautiful. If you think the North is pretty you'll be drooling at the South.
  9. The South Is of NZ is practically riddled with signs. Straight pieces of road on highways are unusual.
  10. Should be easy on my Tenni then, pretty sure that they are all the longer version.
  11. Is there not a spacer on each side, between fork leg and inner bearing race? That's what I would expect to bear the torque of the axle nut. The fork legs wouldn't go anywhere until the bearing was inside out.
  12. My guess is the volume of oil is less important than the volume of air, which is much easier to calibrate by the level of the oil. When you guys say "pinch" the forks, is that causing the tubes to bind? I'm having a hard time visualising floating anything in the front axle.
  13. The sun goes right to left in the sky down here. I haven't ever had a catastrophic tubeless failure, but enough scary tube ones to raise a caution flag.
  14. There is a BIG conference between going flat gradually by puncture, and going almost instantly flat as tubes in non airtight rims do. I've never had a blowout in a car but flat tubes on scooters is like the movie scene. You don't get a period of hinky handling warning you to stop, you get a bloodcurdling fright. Maybe your rims are somewhat airtight, you better hope so.
  15. Add the weight of the tube, subtract the near instant deflation when you get a puncture = pass.
  16. [quge come unclipped, it was testing Edit, I replaced [img= with , still doesn't work for me but it makes the same blue ? Img box
  17. Being so rare my insurance company isn't sure which way to step on setting fair market value. In NZ it would be next to impossible to replace. So which models are comparable in equipment to a 2002 Tenni and does your used bike market value rarity thus far? I have a feeling a Tenni could become a cult item in future, while losing value meantime.
  18. While you're at it,
  19. If someone could add pics it would make a nice addition to the essential knowledgebase.
  20. more photo bucket pics I can't see, anyone else? [edit 30 June 2017: In the process of hosting all of my posted images on ImgZeit]
  21. Photobucket is renowned for dropping older photos. What's the deal with local hosting of pics? To my mind FAQ worthy stuff should get bulletproof rehosting so ten or twenty years along it's there. Hell it's only ten years old already, here comes new owner rattling the chains...
  22. please don't use photobucket, pics not there!
  23. Was reading on another thread, the external of the supplied tool kit spark plug spanner becomes the requisite size driver. Roadside filter replacement on demand.
  24. Thanks Docc, lots of reading there. It's a wonder most aren't set alight by their owners, just reading the precis.
  25. I just bought 1st Guzzi. Local roads are grubby dusty mess, and I ride in the wet, no pods need apply. So I want to get the stock airbox back on in short order. Searching came up with nothing much in the way of what to expect, I'm not entirely ignorant in the ways of carbs but fuel injection? I read the primer that was linked somewhere. If nobody can point me in the right direction I'll do a pictorial. I imagine the fuel map will be quite different with the pods? Or does the stock map cope? I don't think it's been modded otherwise, no Power Commander or fancier cans. What I don't want to do is put airbox back and find it won't start! I'll have a DIY $5 differential yardstick manometer on hand. Looking into the mapping control in the pinned thread.
