Epic is an overused word. Not here.

I like the idea of those bars. The stock clip on set is a bit low for me.

Afaik the assembled clutch needs to be centred before it can be put on the output shaft. Either to make it fit, or to avoid violence on starting?

Where is it usually?

No idea, but you could check head gaskets for clues.

Looks like a real one. Worth a bump on the main thread. I only picked up on the German link there, the one with no paypal.

Scud is on track. We need a reliable source of OBD2 cable with the correct chip. From what I gather on amazon reviews there are two chips meeting spec, and multiple drivers for a huge variety of vehicles which some have trouble uploading or installing. I was hoping to get the featured breakout cable guys to carry some good ones.

Something weird in the amazon link. The "often purchased together" cable is supposed to be a Hyundai special yet it's an OBD2 VAG409.1 per the spec in the main thread. The package with the breakout makes the three cables needed to go to town.

the one you got is the conversion between the ECU and the supposedly standard smart cable doing the interfacing to your PC.

Did Casper's ever respond about the OBD2 cable? No. I gave them links here and to the good OBD2. Maybe their spam muncher ate it.

Sounds about right for courier service. I have a US mailing address c/o NZ Post that forwards Airmail to me for relative pennies.

See what the morning email brings. I'm hanging off GuzziDiag for lack of a reliable OBD2 cable, bet there's plenty more who would be into it with the TPS breakout and the other two. TPS setting opens the door.

Writing this guy to see if would like to stock the correct ECU to PC cables for GuzziDiag. One stop shopping rules.

It will probably go SAL, surface air lifted, not slow like a slow boat from China. Stock V11 attaches to the inboard valve cover bolts. What about yours?

No antipathy whatsoever. Simple economics. If I can jack it up and support on DIY stands for free, I'm not paying hundreds to import one.

Tougher than me, I thought same, take care! Stroke recovery and motorcycling, dangerous alright.

It's fairly thin stuff, evaporating into the Canty nor'wester? Someone suggested it could be filling up the clutch housing. I guess if the seal has failed it could leak along the actuator plunger and get there, but I haven't looked up the schematic.

http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18274 Almost, it's a tube of high temp high drop point lithium grease. With no moly(diSulphide) . Every day is a school day.

The manual spec for driveshaft grease is a mouthful and a half. Saponifying grease, with lithium, grade2, 265/295 penetration, approx 180° dropping point, no MOS² additives. Commonly known as what??

A volunteer! Please measure the height of the lower porkchop bolt off the floor when stand up. Also, how high is the rear tyre off the ground? 11" (30cm) from floor to center of bolt. 1.75-2 (4.4-5cm) inches below the rear tire. Thanks, I'll assume you have stock suspension.
