Won't FIT even!!
-
I know this has been done almost to death, but I can't find anything more recent than "corbin seats won't fir the V11 LeMans 2003" etc. Is that still the case? I want something more comfortable that doesn't seem to keep pushing my wotsits on to thee tank!
-
I'll try to find the LSL part numbers and measure up the spacers we made.
-
Cool!! People being nice!! The gauges are absolutely bog standard, even down to the misting tacho with gromets for all seasons!! The slider fixings are Rossopuro, which I got follwing someone else's lead, with LSL Motorrad "mushrooms" which I bought for my Speed Triple (but fitted "oddly"), connected with home made aluminuium spacers to the same pattern as LSL use. I wanted the head protection, but with something more aesthetically pleasing than the bobbins Rossopuro supply as standard.
-
Well, I think they look far prettier than the white nylon "bobbins" that everyone else has got!
-
At last!! This, IMHO, is the ultimate incarnation of the cylinder head slider for a Guz! Rossopuro meets LSL, meets Welsh engineering. Hope you like the pics (if I get them there!)
-
Half a litre makes a BIG difference though!! Are we measuring "screwed in" or resting on top?
-
I can't find the answer quickly, so apologise in advance for asking again if it is already there!! The manula says that the engine oil level should be checked after running the engine for a minute or so does it not? So, that means the level will look "too full" if the bike is checked cold having stood for a while won't it? Should I be worried that to get the right level after running the engine for perhaps 2/3 minutes, it looks over full when cold?

Has anybody else out there thought of, or is using the hugger "bosses" on the swing awm to take paddock stand bobbins?
-
Whats the tailpiece look like then?
-
So, its got Ti cans that rattle, nice Oberon reservoir caps, Rossopuro head sliders, an home made fenda extenda, a choice of different screens and lips, a carrier if I need it, and I've ordered an edgegard. What does my bike need for Christmas? What should my wife get me for Christmas?

Stripped mine down last weekend, to find that both sides appear to move. The Right side can (viewed from on top of the bike) has moved BACK about 6mm (1/4") to leave a very big mark near the top of the oval shape where the two sides of the strap meet to connect to the hanger. The left side has moved less: the markin has only occurred UNDER the straps. I've dressed all the edges, and tried to put self adhesive carbon weave under the top of the straps to create some clearence now, but would really appreciate some advice. could the movment be thermal expansion?
-
I'd be VERY interested to see what you come up with, especially if it has twin, round lights.
-
The cans actuall seem quite loos in the steel bands, even though we have carefully re-shaped to fit better. There is plenty of scope for movement. I am goint to try lining the top of the hanger straps with carbon or something.
-
PROBLEM!! The right hand can (viewed from ON the bike) seems to be fretting in its hanger: there is a mark about 3/16" long in front of the hanger at the top. Everything feels quite solid. Shoud it move this much?

Oberon Engineering in the UK list replacement pegs in a number of styles/colours for the V11. Mine has their nice gold anodised reservoir caps to match the Brembo Serie Oro levers. I was actually considering replacing the pillion pegs with Oberon's smaller ones now that I have fitted the Ti cans, just to clean up the look. www.oem-uk.com

I got hooked on trying holes of various sizes (with my wife's permission ), but all to no avail: the tacho still mists. Which reminds me - My dealer actually promised to get me a new one: about two years ago!!
-
Belfast, you really deserve those "brownie points". Thanks for the pictirial explanation. GALLO is actuall a very good Swedish (SE) Sawmill that I used to buy from!! Wonder where they got the name from?
-
Guess that means my Viking Attest, gained at great expense in Steinkjer a few years ago really does mean I'm a Viking then - or a blockead at least!
-
I'm too ugly for the Roof lid I'm afraid!! Chin and nose clearence is a problem
-
Yeah, but if I do that, something else will fall off or break!! It's all together again now, and I'm happy with it, so I need to persuade my wife to let me put it on a rolloing road in the lounge!!!
-
That Megola thing is stunning!!! I want one NOW!
-
15000!! I've had three in less than 2000 miles!!!! 15mm boss and a new spring is the answer. Remember to dress the spring "bearing" point though: I reckon it might be worth a few extra miles in the future. Is that "gallo" as in nice Swedish redwood?
