  1. Thant's another possibility! How many years ago did you do the internal coating? Is it still there or it has been dissolved by the ethanol and sucked by the fuel pump?
  2. For what is my knowledge during the years Moto Guzzi has released some updates about engine oil through technical bulletins, of course the owner's manual in your possession hasn't been updated. What Moto Guzzi prescribe (and what the specialized Guzzi mechanics in Italy prescribe) now is SAE 10W-60 for all the Guzzis except the California models equipped with hydraulic tappets. But choosing a 20W50 instead a 10W60 because is cheaper it really doesn't make a a big difference in our engines specially if you live in an area where winters are not so cold and summers are not so warm and you are not often struck in the traffic where our air cooled engines suffers the most.
  3. My tank is just a little "abundant" on the rear bolt, not in perfect condition because I discovered the tip off valve was placed upside down by the factory so while riding the Tenni the thank was used to shrink under the pressure of the fuel pump so the paint now is a little "stressed". I want to keep my tenni as much as possible in stock condition si I'm thinking about a professional internal epoxy internal coating but the cost is around $400. Just replaced the thermal protection under the tank.
  4. Thanks Scud you gave me a really good tip!
  5. so... I won!!!! Glad for you it was something easy-to-fix!
  6. When you are in the second gear the shift lever is free to move like when you are in 6th gear or is it locked?
  7. That's true, when the spring is broken the gearbox is completely locked, but there's another spring inside the preselector, or something it's stuck between the two wheels of the preselector when they try to reach the "3rd gear position". If you don't hear other weird noises form the gearbox I think the problem can be located in the preselector, but of course I'm not a mechanic!! Be careful to don't mess with the forks, spring etc in the preselector, it can be painful!
  8. I think is a gearbox preselector problem ( probably you have a torn spring or something like that) and as already told you it's not so difficult to open it and check what's wrong, before to do it mark the gearbox lever assembly,so when you put everything back together it's easier.
  9. Hi guys, I would like to install a phone holder on my Le Mans but I can't find where. Do anyone of you had the same issue? I was thinking to put a phone holder on the fork inside the fairing if that doesn't interfere with the forks movement, because I can't find any other space next to the dash. Any suggestion?
  10. USA, Tenni #122 4500miles, no clutch problems for now
  11. Huh. These guys are like 10 minutes from me. Maybe I will stop by and show them my V11 and see what they say. let mek now what they say, I'm interested too
  12. I'm looking for a complete factory Titanium kit for my V11 ( exhaust, ECU and all the spare parts) I'm looking for something new or something that can be considered in mint condition.
  13. Stucchi Luigi s.r.l. had filed for bankruptcy in 2014, probably you can find just NOS parts from resellers round the world
  14. it seems a pretty good job!
  15. Hi Guys, well I know this can be considered hilarious but I'm looking for the GENUINE square reflectors for US specs V11. I know almost everyone ride without those reflectors but if someone didn't trash it after the removal, I'm interested in buy those for an honest price. UPDATE: Thanks to the user Scud who sold me the front side amber reflectors, now I'm looking just for the rear side red reflectors
  16. Just removed the tip off valve from my Tenni, was placed upside down form the factory in Mandello (according to the workshop manual) but also the hose that comes from the tank to the tip off valve was to short to place it upward, so I decided was better to remove the valve. After the first trip I did with the V11, when I opened the tank cap I heard a strong suction noise and the tank expanded strongly in all direction because the valve was upside down. Checking online it seems all the Tenni for US market had the same tank suction problem.
  17. Yes, and it is still in California! I had an error in my personal info page. What a lovely motorbike! #122 in San Luis Obispo, CA
  18. Hello Guys, I just bought the Tenni #122
  19. Yes footgoose, I found the old ad on their website, they are sold out and the price was $1400 ! Maybe not really bad for a complete kit (with all the spare parts, owners manual and box) but for sure too much expensive for my wallet!
  20. Can I ask you what is the listing price for the brand new kit?
