    V11 Crossover

Yeah, Scud...forgot to mention that. I have the stock with a set of factory CF LaFranconi's on it. Looking for something aftermarket. I can order one from Mistral new, but it's about $400 plus the shipping...and I figured it's up under the bike and you can't really see how shiny it is anywho.

    V11 Crossover

Still looking for a nice crossover for my '02 LeMans. Anyone got one hanging in their garage?
  4. Looking for a clean Mistral or Stucci crossover. Must have the bracket for charcoal canister still intact.
  5. Wasn't someone on here looking for a cheap "greenie"??? https://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/mcy/5619494391.html
  6. Tim, You're a stud. We gotta meet up for a ride. Found a donor speedo over in Santa Cruz, so will be removing the cluster and sending it over to Palo Alto for repair and refresh. Hoping to be good as new. Sean
  7. I heard of him, but he's on the other coast and significantly more than Palo Alto. Wasn't impressed with the website and didn't you say he didn't even freshen up the faded pointer? Not getting a warm fuzzy feeling. Palo Alto Speedo does a lot of high end work on VDOs, Smiths and Veglias for Porsches, Astons, Ferraris and the like. Scored a donor unit off of fleabay for under $40, so we'll see what they can do with it.
  8. That's a good idea, Tim! Does anyone know which models used similar gauges for donor duty? I spoke to Hartmut and he said he can repair the gauges if he has spare parts.
  9. One of the few places that will still repair/restore our V11 gauges is Palo Alto Speedometer (paspeedo.com), and they have NO spares to do the work. Anyone out there have some donor units to help fix the early V11 speedos and tachs?

  11. docc, Take a look at the recent value increase of pre-80s Maseratis...and I take exception to the comparison of Ferraris to Douche-catis. Now MV Agustas, that's another story! A buddy of mine has had several Ducatis over the years and on the way to the Int'l Motorcycle Show this year, I rode his '03 S4S and he took my '02 LeMans. Couldn't believe the look on his face when he took off his helmet; all he could say was, "Damn, I could ride this thing all day!"
  12. Yeah, that I'm pretty sure that Cafe' Sport is gone. It is very similar to Tim's Scura and was a lot more bike for the money. Compare the different models of V11s and their various features, search for the "Breakdown of Model Year Changes" on this site. Be patient. I think something better will come along.
  13. You'll know right away to suspect inaccurate original mileage when you take it for a ride. These speedos (and the drive mechanism) were quirky and prone to failure and if it's not operating properly, it could've been that way for some time. Be very suspicious...no matter what the owner tells you (oh that? It just quit working a 100 or so miles ago)! And the Spine frames are very different than the CARC bikes; as you can see by my ride list (I only list my Italian bikes), I have both. My 1200 Sport is a relatively refined sport tourer; the V11 is very retro and draws a lot of attention. To me the V11 feels like a much older design, with a few newer upgrades, like fuel injection. Question: what upgrades (exhaust, crossover, suspension, etc.) does this bike have? This can greatly increase the value. There was a Café Sport on CL up in Santa Clarita for like $4k a few weeks ago...had like 11k miles, but that is a much more rare and desirable bike, with the factory Ohlins suspension and CF bits.

    Mistral Crossover

Anyone have a Mistral crossover, no oxygen sensor bung, sitting around with no use?
  15. Well, lighter weight and don't get as hot as the aluminum ones.
