  1. "Heh - pretty sure we're all outliers here . . . " Sorry , I guess I am the real "outlier" here ( I guess I am here?)....I love my 2025 e-5+. V-85 I did around 3k miles on my friends 2020 V-85 with full bags in about 14 days this summer mostly in the Alps, , Stelvio, Timmelsjoch, and all over the Dolomites, Switzerland, Austria..St Moritz to Mandello and back down to Milano, to and then down to Rimini ..The days in the Alps I was riding with with a couple of guys from Rome , long time riders who who can ride their Ass off..one on a new 2024 1300 BMW and the other on a new 2024 1300 Ducati...Sure they could blast away from me on long straights..but in the Alps switchbacks they had nothing on the V-85. Milano to Rimini we rode 145-150 kph most of the way on the expressway in 35+ C heat and it never missed a beat..and was comfortable..400 km per tank. All you gotta do is stay busy with the shifter and keep it in the 4000..5500 rpm range. No complaints from me.

  8. I had a similar issue on one of my my Scura's and I fought with it for a couple weeks, trying all sorts of different things, it would run awesome in the shop..and then after a 20 minute ride it would start running real rough at low RPM..then finally die ..I thought it was heat related and tried all kinds of things..the side stand switch would work fine while at home, but still it finally it did turn out to be in the side stand switch adjustment bolt was just at a weird angle and would start not making good contact after it got hot......but it sounds as if you have completely eliminated that possibility. Good luck , you'll finger it out.
  9. Australian racing legend, Casey Stoner, criticized the Sprint Race format which has lasted two seasons in MotoGP. According to him, these short races should be removed from the competition schedule! Stoner emphasized that the existence of the Sprint Race has eliminated the essence of real racing. This race made the racers lose concentration during the main race on Sunday. "They held a Sprint Race by taking up time that could have been used to concentrate on the main race. They shouldn't hold a world championship with mini (races). This should be an endurance stage," Stoner said. "The world championship should take place in a long distance race. You (can't) collect points from this kind of sprint race because the points should be earned on Sunday when the main race."Australian racing legend, Casey Stoner, criticized the Sprint Race format which has lasted two seasons in MotoGP. 10. Agostini,Read,Roberts,Doohan,Rossi,Stoner , Marquez, Were all GP World Champions..They were good enough for me...They never Rode a Sprint race...I see no reason to change.. We used to call those a "Trophy Dash",same bikes, same track, shortened race , irrelevant to the #1 plate....That was the guy who won the most main events.
  11. Sept 2024..."Among the championship protagonists, Pramac’s Jorge Martin has suffered seven accidents in 2024 so far - including from the lead of the German GP before the summer break - while Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini have crashed five times each on their factory Ducatis." I have a different perspective on Moto GP results this year Pecco won 11 actual MOTO GP races this Year, Martin won 3. Martin got most of his advantage from the short "SPRINT" races In my opinion "Sprint" races should be a totally different category, 2 yrs ago when they decided to have sprint races on Saturdays ( mostly to bolster the Dorna organizations wallets). If you will recall when DORNA announced they were adding sprint races to the Championship The majority of the MGP of the riders were against it..they did not spend years to ascend to Moto GP with the plan to ride sprints..SPRINTS are NOT GRAND PIX RACING...and don't require the skills of tire management and concentration that a Grand Prix does. In what other type of racing do they combine 2 different categories to determine the seasons champion? Formula one with Drag Racing? Circle track and Road racing? Stock Cars and indy cars racing? motorcycle Speedway and Superbikes, Moto cross and trials? In my mind the person who won the most Most Grand Prix races is the Grand Prix champion. ? "As of September among the championship protagonists, Pramac’s Jorge Martin has suffered seven crash accidents in 2024 so far - including from the lead of the German GP before the summer break - while Francesco Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini have crashed five times each on their factory Ducatis."
  12. I wouldnt buy one but a good friend of mine has one, I went and picked up with him when he bought it..it does look very well made, He is a big guy .6'4" 250 so the bike suits him..He is a doctor and does medical student lectures all over Northern California in a 200 mile radius and rides the MGX-21 to most of them...kind of perfect bike for that kind of thing really. Allows him to get some riding in a busy schedule and still, not arrive feeling and looking like he just came off the track.

Most of the motorcops are all taught to ride in the upright style , you dont see them in full gear on a dressed out bike dragging a knee..but they go like hell when they want to, and in my experiance they are VERY good riders..hard to keep up with in heavy traffic and I wish you luck if your on a bike and you try to get away from them in any situation that requires maneuvering. Two of the fastest and smoothest riders I have known in my years riding, rode in the upright style..in the mountains ,its very easy to get sucked in by them if you are following them in an area they know and you don't..when following them they look like they are just having a nice ride..until you realize your doing over a hundred coming into some difficult sweepers keeping up with them and they havnt touched the brakes or changed position in their seat at all .
  14. Very good example of Boz's sublime voice and style.
  15. MY WIFE AND I WERE AT THIS CONCERT A SEVERAL YEARS AGO..FRONT ROW CENTER..GREAT PERFORMANCE BY BOZ, DREW ZINN ON LEAD GUITAR...( BOZ WAS MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR IN SAN FRANCISCO IN THE Early 70'S) (interesting story, when Boz was recording in 1969 he had finished the Album and the producer said they needed one more. to fill it up., Duane Allman happened to stop by the studio that day and Boz asked him if he wanted to sit in ) Boz said here was a song he had heard Elvin Bishop do a couple times back in San Francisco clubs called , "Loan me a Dime" and would Duane like to try it with him "they cut it in one take..jamming. The rest is history.
