  1. 50 is the correct number....That is a steal on that bike with that milage imo. If he wants it he better make a deal NOW, like fast as I see it being talked about and the ad reposted on 3 other forums..including AF1 It won't last long.
  2. 1989 Saab 900Turbo SPG ..In the mountain twisties it was one of the Fastest and best handling and most fun to drive production cars I ever owned..a real ticket getter...
  3. They are expensive..I have purchased 3 from these people in the past...good people https://motodemic.com/
  4. I tried a few times on my V11's with the "Pit Bull" head lift stand that I have used on my Ducati's and Aprilia's..even with the right sized pin to fit inside the steering tube ..I couldn't see anyway it could be compatible with the front fairing and headlight, its too low and too far out for the Pit Bull stand to be able to fit under and back to the steering tube . I don't remember the pin size needed but its very small inner diameter compared to most bike..and I don't have a V'11 right now I can measure.
  5. Yes..They do that now when registering a vehicle from out of state...once its been registered in Ca they never check again.
  6. Took my son about 10-12 days to finally test negative..even though he felt pretty good after 3-4 days..Hope its the same with you Chuck.
  7. Might be better to find a used trans? and swap it out. By the time you track down a shop that can do the work and has the time, then get it there, pay them for all the parts and labor and then hope they do it right....just sayin.
  8. You take a truck like that and do what you have just done Scud, plus throw in some new transmission and motor mounts and they feel tight and smooth like a new vehicle, very satisfying in my book...especially when its for your kid..:-)
  9. Ha,Ha...cans of corn and cans of dog food to supplement..
  10. If you look up the part number for that rubber bellow's, there are sources in the EU who have it available, one well known supplier in the Netherlands has them, and currently advertises it on Flea-bay now. In all honesty, you will run into those types of parts for which you he to spend extra efforts to find on pretty much any Italian motorcycle, especially Moto Guzzi.
  11. "hoarders and sundry nut cases". Guilty
  12. Welcome..This be the place!
  13. Petes spring...
  14. I used to go to this club "(Theresa's) quite a lot in 1970-1971..on the South Side of Chicago when I lived there Saw so much good blues there ..Including Junior and "Phil "..(Buddy).
  15. Imo...Send it to Pete, obviously its the gearbox right? ...and put a new clutch in while you have it out, best time to eliminate that potential problem (I assume you have the aluminum flywheel?). Best of luck!!
  16. My opinion is listen to what the experienced members here in this 20 year old V-11 forum tell you,, not what I see people on "Facebook are telling you..The motor should NOT have to come out imo...contrary to what Facebook people tell you, you don't need to do that to pull the transmission..find a place where you can support the bike from above with a "come along" or similar and a scissors table lift underneath, I have been thru this..Just Listen to what Pete, Scud, docc and other experienced members tell you..they are the experts on this bike ..take your time..and "crab" the frame..You can do this. You will feel very satisfied when done and know your bike so much better.
  17. Search and read up on docc's "Decent Tune-up" and perform that just as described and you will find yourself with a whole new motorcycle..not only at 5,000!..When done correctly its amazing ..imho
  18. Will it start in gear? start in neutral? Start with clutch pulled in ?
