What he said... "The single biggest improvement you can make to the shift action of your V11 is to lengthen the shift lever arm and incorporate a neweye end mount hole 12mm ctr to ctr from the original upper hole."

Good luck..Do you normally ride long ride alot of back to back long rides? 500 per day is certainly doable but it seems like a lot 5 days in a row on a new to you bike. Don't push yourself too hard, smell the roses..:-). Have a safe and enjoyable trip!

Yes they used to play at the Original "Lingerie", a tiny dive bar in Santa Monica/ West L.A. area on Pico Blvd near Bundy Ave, along with other struggling Bands, like The Burning Sensations, and "X", in the real early 80's like 81, the first time I saw them, they were Heavy Chicano music, then I think around 83-84 Steve Berlin who had been playing with Top Jimmy and then The Blasters came along and really add'd a lot to their sound ..imo.

When I first saw Chuck he was just staring over again, traveling the midwest in his car with just a guitar and Amp, My lifelong good friend who is a few years older than me Tom Hankins ,a bass player, (who I still see and talk to often and who has a Blues Band in Los angeles now that I go down to see once and a while )was just starting a band up about that time, they backed up Chuck in our town on the spur of the moment one night when they were 17 years old ..they had never played a Chuck Berry song but jumped at the gig, ..they just faked it..Chuck was good to him and didn't complain. They went on to back him up 2-3 more times years later, My friend Tom later went on to open for The Animals, Cream, The dave Clark 5, The Everly Brothers, Little Richard, The Allman Brothers..and on and on . He liked Chuck a lot...
