I'm sorry for your traumatic experience, could take years of therapy to put that behind you - especially if you find yourself shopping for dew rags online. I read this today in a local SF forum... "My dad used to own a Buell, until one day when he accidentally left his garage open overnight. Now he owns three".

I hope you have better luck than I did, I ordered one from them 4 months ago..after a lot of drama it finally arrived last week and the Carbon looked nice but the indent where the eagle logo goes was totally off center and crooked..I told them I wanted my money back and returned it..that was about 10 days ago...I have not heard anything from tthem yet. Good luck to ya though..I bought several things from MDI for my Aprilia's in years past..and it was fine...but they were located in Georgia then, not San Diego.

cheap and easy way imo...rent a sprayer from home depot...spray it all white inside to seal the wood, , make sure you have enough outlets, get a staple gun and put up some insulation, put white pegboard over all walls.., build a solid work bench, put up some shelves and put up some good lighting..install a small refrigerator for beer...and comfortable chair. Oh yeah..get a nice Moto Guzzi sign for the wall...:-)

I think 2 tanks is the most economic. for example, the Ducati's suffer the same problem..I spent $3,600 to have an aluminum tank made in Japan for my Ducati by" Beaters" Arguably the best quality there is ,A small family owned Company for over 100 years that formally made Samurai armour, The tank is awesome, a work of Art..., but a second stock tank would have been much cheaper..it depends if you want to be "one and done", or swap every winter, I plan on keeping the bike for the duration.

Who's been to Peru? --> What to ride discussion.
KINDOY2 replied to Pressureangle's topic in Travel & dealers
My friend in Rome does motorcycle rentals and tours all over Italy..he is a Guzziesti but He has a few of those Himalayans he rides and rents ..He was just telling me yesterday what a great little bike they are and how dependable they are, He says if I ride one for a day or two I'll " have to have one"..."Not for Serious off road he says but excellent for dirt roads etc..and if you go down one tooth in front they have some spirit". -
