    Shed!

Don't forget to lube up the silencer first.
  7. On behalf of the forum, I am willing to examine them and find out. Guy
  8. If we are honest I bet we have all done similar things- my best one was getting off my Jackal after forgetting to kick down the sidestand- I rolled about 10 feet with an audience of neighbours clapping and cheering. Luckily the crash bars prevented any major damage to the bike. Guy
  9. I agree with the comments about Formula One being boring and processional but whenever I have visited Italy, I have noticed that it is a big deal to them, and they are mad about Ferrari, so I can understand why Rossi may want to join in. Go to any bar or cafe in Italy on a Sunday afternoon and there will be a crowd of men shouting at the TV and cheering on Ferrari. There is also the challenge of winning a World Championship in F1 as well as Moto GP / 500 GP - only John Surtees has managed that so far. As regards the TT, full respect to the guys that do it- they are a breed apart from the slick Moto GP racers but I can understand someone like Rossi not wanting to do it as its bloody dangerous. I think Foggy was the last man to win a World Championship and the TT. Guy
  10. You've seen the film now see the bike in the flesh: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=mot...S_WHAT'S-ON I am looking forward to watchng it, but so far my favourite biking film is On any Sunday which is just brilliant, and more importantly real. Guy

  12. There is also a dealer in Exeter that has 2 used V11s for sale. http://www.italian-motorcycle.co.uk/ Guy
  13. If you don't mind travelling 2 hours On Yer Bike in Aylesbury is selling an unregistered 2003 model V11 Le Mans for £5799. Also selling new V11 Ballabios at the same price. You may find it difficult to find the bike you want if you restrict yourself to Zumerzet. Guy
  14. I notice that yet again a thread has been diverted towards the issue of homosexuality. Has anybody got a secret they would like to come out and share with us? Guy
  15. Still waiting for my FBF pistons- I am going down the route of the Moto Euro bike and getting the local tuning shop Hobbsport (who used to own a Guzzi racer) to flow the heads and fit bigger valves. I know that the stock valve sizes are 39.5mm (exhaust) and 46.5mm (intake). The oversize valves that FBF sell are 40mm and 47mm respectively. I am considering buying Raceco oversize valves from Corsa Italiana and just wondered whether any other forum members have fitted bigger valves, and if so, what size? I will probably stick with the FBF sizes but am interested to see what others have done. Will also get the advice of Hobbsport. Cheers Guy
  16. Yes use that special Italian paint stripping formula- H2O!!

    How's BFG?

Did you notice he has returned? See the Erin thread on the Travel forum. Guy
  18. Welcome back BFG!! I shopped around and found that £68.50 for the fast ferry Fishgaurd to Rosslare return was the cheapest I could find. Guy
  19. UK riders have a look at this: http://www.greenergy.com/products/99_octane.html All the stores selling it are down South at the moment, but it looks as though its coming to the grim North soon. Guy
  20. This is the magic stuff! http://www.scottoiler.co.uk/mcn.asp
  21. Autoglym- not sure if it does stand up to the heat of the exhaust, but I also use Scottoiler F365 spray in the winter on all the cycle parts which keeps 'em corrosion free. Roads are salted more or less permanently from November to March here. Guy
  22. Just read the thread- sounds like the webmistress is trying to fix it. Guy
