    Jim's Indicators

2nd Guy / the shop was Performance Bike Spares. We where at Potswood behind machine mart . Mainly mail order spares for jap bikes grey imports + racing parts . Later used bikes and building one off streetfighters/custom/race Bikes etc . Went bust about 5 years ago, bought A load of crap bikes , from a dealer (ripped us off a treat) game over. Jim 79024[/snapback] That's a shame Jim. I remember when I was a teenager living in Winchester I used to ride down to Southampton with my friends, and we used to spend all day in Bevois Valley, St Marys etc poking about old bike shops looking for bits and bobs. I lived in Bitterne Triangle for a while, which was about a mile away from your old shop. Did you know there is a new Guzzi dealer in North Baddersley called Bikers UK? Not sure how good they are. Guy
  2. Cheers Ratchethack Well that was nearly a year ago, and Helen has ridden that bike in all weathers and there has been no oxidation at all- the only thing I do is wax them whenever I clean the bike. Guy
  3. The dull alloy finish on Mistrals polishes up nicely after a few hours on the bench. Guy
  4. Put your money where you mouth is Alonso- Michael Schumacher was crap when he had a go on Rossi's bike so lets see if you can do any better! I reckon any decent club racer on a sports 600 would kick Alonso's arse even if he was on an M1. Guy

    How's BFG?

BFG is still around- he lurks here from time to time- last logged on 8th Feb. I think it was a strange sort of new years resolution to not post on here anymore, but its only a matter of time before he cracks and returns...... Nobody ever escapes this forum. Guy
  6. Butterbean should be on the Hooters thread too!
  7. Yes its Lennox knocking out Tyson. Helen's brother Dan met Lennox in a Miami nightclub and spent an hour chatting with him- says he was a really nice guy, down to earth and not lost in show business like many fighters. Guy

    Shed!

There are plenty of bastards that will steal your bike over here. Well organised gangs that target particular areas and makes of bike. Guzzis are not as attractive as say, CBR600s but thick as pigshit thieves will still nick them if they get the chance. The law is f*cked up- if you caught a thief and beat him up you would be in deeper shit with the law than the thief himself. I salute Texas and its policy of allowing citizens to shoot scumbags who try and steal vehicles Guy
  9. I have just got back from the pub- all this is total bollocks- letrs get back to V11s. Guy

    Shed!

Make sure you have enough room in your shed for a sofa, stove, fridge, telly, bed, shower, hi-fi and TV. Guy
  14. The laces are so high up they are completely covered by my trousers so no risk of snagging.
  15. Fame at last Martin- not only do you have an article in Gambalunga, you have a photo in the club write up section too. Next stop Hello magazine! Guy

Its a bodge- when he gets 2 more points he can borrow my large mallet and move up to the next level of bodging. Guy
  17. I wear Altbergs- the only boots I have ever worn that are waterproof and the great thing is they are comfy enough to walk around in at rallys etc so you don't need to pack another pair of boots / shoes. I have been riding all winter in mine and my toes have stayed warm. Takes about 2 months on the waiting list to get them. Price £149.99. Guy
  18. I have 2 cos I could not find one with the range of torque values I wanted. I have a small wrench for lower values, and a big muthaf*cker for larger values. Both Halfords who sell decent kit these days. Guy
  19. Yep its the Arai condor with St Georges cross that Darryl mentioned in his post. I prefer it to the Union Jack lids- they are a bit too much Austin Powers for me. Guy
  20. Be careful- bird flu has spread to Italy and Austria now- France must be next- and you don't want to end up with a diseased cock with the virus caught from an infected bird! Guy
  21. Try Hein Gericke http://www.hein-gericke.com/int/index.php/cPath/43_46 Or www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk Guy

    "Free" Insurance

If HD insurance are refusing to provide cover for any modified motors then they ain't gonna get much business- when was the last time you saw a bog standard Buell or HD without breathing mods? Guy
  23. Its a girl's pet- a bloke must have a dog- at least labrador size!
  24. Lets start with cats- I bloody hate them- lets make 'em endangered! Guy
