  1. Nice one! Congratulations!! Guy
  2. It has got sick of listening to all the bullsh*t and is hankering after the good ol' days of ECU and oil threads. Guy
  3. A guy in the UK Guzzi club made some up- can't remember his name but I was chatting to him at a rally a few years back- he had fitted them to his Sport Corsa. I think his business was known as the Edge. I'll dig out some old club mags and try and find his contact info- he has stopped advertsiing now so I wonder if he is still going. Guy
  4. Another reason not to mention it- some forum members may have had family or friends that either died or suffered during various conflicts- let us be respectful of them and those who gave their lives, rather than having irrelevant debates. Guy
  5. Have a good one, Gazza!
  6. I have never seen the bike myself Van- just saw the ad on t'internet. Guy

    linked brakes

The Tenni should be delinked already unless the previous owner has modified it- front and rear braking systems should be seperate. Guy
  8. Well the EU is one of the main debates whenever we have a general election. As an island, we have never really seen ourselves as part of Europe and those with right wing nationalistic tendencies tend to want out of it. I personally am for the EU and don't care if our currency turns into Euros- many other countries have swapped over already and I can't be arsed with all this money changing whenever I go abroad. What I don't like is all the beaurocracy created in Brussels- just because we are part of the same trading community does not mean we have to be clones. Guy
  9. When Schumi tested the Yamaha Moto GP bike he was 20 seconds a lap slower than Rossi.

    Ohlins?

My arse gauge tells me otherwise.

    Ohlins?

If I compare Helen's V11 (40mm Marz) to my Rosso Corsa (Ohlins) there is no difference in straight line stability- both solid as a rock. Where you do notice the difference is when you are cranked right over on a bumpy bend- you feel very safe and solid on the Ohlins but your sphincter starts twitching on the other bike which gets a bit out of shape. Guy
  12. Nice one Keith. Ynys Môn will wake to the thunderous sound of 3 V11s. Any more Guzzis up for this? Guy
  13. More Moto GP testing times: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=mot...ry=SPORT_MOTOGP Interesting to see Kenny Roberts on the pace.
  14. A happy ending- we are all so pleased that you got your lovely bike back with minimal damage. Guy
  15. He knows his parrots does our Martin
  16. Hey lets all chill out, smoke a , drink some , talk about and forget about Guy
  17. Now that is what I love about European Guzzi rallies- normally a mixture of Brits / Dutch / Germans / Belgians/ Irish and French, with maybe the odd visitor from Scandanavia, Italy or Poland depending upon where the rally is. Ok, we may take the gentle mickey out of the Germans mulletts and their love of David Hasselhoff, but everyone gets on great and are united by their love of Moto Guzzis. No racism, bad feelings or political agendas- just friends sharing beers and having a good time together. That's how it should be. Guy
  18. Hey Rick Just been thinking (my brain is slow)- have you just bought the lightly damaged Tenni from RS motorcycles? Guy

    Ohlins?

Keith Well I can't confess to any dark secrets as to how mine have stayed reliable- just lucky I guess. The roads around here are extremely bumpy- although not quite as bad as the ones I encountered while lapping Ireland. I tend to brake hard too but keep the compression 2 clicks above standard to prevent excessive dive. You are welcome to take it for a few laps around Angelsey if you fancy comparing the set up. Guy
  20. I think you just crossed yourself off Zebulon's Christmas card list!!!! Guy
  21. Hopefully a rare happy ending to this story- the thief was arrested for another offence but the blood he left behind him linked him to the crime he committed next door. When confronted with the evidence, he confessed and is due to appear in court soon- be interesting to see what sort of punishment he gets. Guy
  22. Well we in Britain may have starved to death without the support of the convoys from the USA, and many American sailors were killed by the Germans before the US joined in the war. I am sure most Brits are grateful for the support and that is why we will always be allies, although that does not mean we will agree with all aspects of US foreign policy. As to who's fight it was- well Hitler was 1000 times a bigger threat to the world than Saddam Hussein, and was responsible for millions of deaths in the concentration camps as well as the millions of deaths arising from the war he started. What civilised nation could just let Hitler carry on? If any war was worth fighting, it was that one. Many Americans volunteered to serve with the British forces before the USA joined the war because they thought it to be a cause worth fighting for. It was a very long time ago and we should look to the future rather than the past. Guy
  23. Mark D and K motorcycles in Newcastle Under Lyme have Tenni for sale 2003 4000 miles datatool alarm £5699. It is about £1000 overpriced- may be worth doing some haggling if its in good nick. Guy
  24. I noticed BFG logged on early this morning- must have been lurking. Guy
