  1. It is to prevent what was mentioned above- oil starvation as the bike is accelerating or braking hard, or occasionally pulling a little wheelie. Recommended engine oil capacity is 3.5 litres- I fill up with 4. Been doing this for a couple of years with no problems at all- I trust my dealer- he knows his stuff. Guy

Road legal? No noisy pipes? Normally not a problem at Cadwell but I will ring them before booking as I refuse to put the horrible standard pipes back on. Guy
  3. BFG said he would be at the Erin Rally in June so is hopefully ok. Guy
  4. Congratulations Paul!! There is a possibility that the next Sport Classic launched will be based upon the old 750 F1's looks. Source of rumour- MCN so take it with a pinch of salt until we acually see it but in theory sounds good. Guy
  5. For a couple of years now I have been adding an extra half litre of engine oil whenever I do an oil change at my dealers recommendation- light never comes on at all whatever the bike is up to. Guy
  6. You can always send her some flowers!

One possible problem at Cadwell when it comes to guests from abroad- because it is one of the Jonathan Palmer circuits they insist on you producing a valid driving licence before going on track- if Jim wanted a ride we would need to investigate this first and check that a Canadian licence is ok. This is where I normally stay- a nice pub with B and B in a pleasant leafy village only 10 minutes from the circuit. Good food and beer although its wise not to go mental the night before when it comes to eating and drinking. http://www.blackhorse-donington.co.uk/ Guy

    UK Track Day

Count me in Noggers- I will probably stay at the pub In have stayed in regularly for a couple years. Jim- you can borrow an R6 from us if you like. Guy P.S. Hooliganism and idiocy are on their way!!
  10. No worries Paul- sounds like the Sunday in April is the one I will book (maybe June as well). See you at Erin. Guy
  11. Guzzbun Keep your chin up mate- and get rid of some of your frustrations by taking your MGS to Anglesey (see the track day thread). Guy
  12. How does carbon fibre react to the urine of drunken blokes at 2am? Can it survive a Chicken Vindaloo? Is it so light that the lid just floats in the air and won't close, angering your lady? We need answers. Guy
  13. The Mike Rich pistons look good but are about a $100 more than the FBF- maybe his are better and deserve to be priced that way. I am still going for FBF- Wiseco have a good reputation and I am trying to keep the costs down bearing in mind I will need some more dyno time. Guy
  14. An overhead view of the circuit: Anglesey
  15. Antonio Maybe BFG was mentally scarred when you did a "Crying Game" strip in front of him- he probably was not expecting meat and two veg under your skirt- can't blame him for going into hiding poor bloke. Guy
  16. Amadeo at Raceco still does the odd bit of work on guzzis but mainly does car engines now. He sold all his parts to Corsa Italiana: www.corsaitaliana.com Guy
  17. Yes thats right- first line is without the PC111 fitted. I was impressed with gains made- especially the torque curve which maxes out at 72 rw ft lbs- more than even Guzzi claim at the crank. The bike was on the dyno for 3 hours (even ran out of petrol) and it made an awesome noise. Hobbsport who did the tuning have a reputation for providing realistic dyno results (i.e. low) but many racers come back to them again and again because they make a difference. They used to run a Guzzi racer in the early 90s and know their onions. I will be returning once my FBF pistons are fitted. Guy
  18. Yes I have bought a remote control fart machine myself- it has about 6 different realistic fart tones (some wet!) and you place the speaker under a chair or sofa used by some unsuspecting person then secretly press the button and embarrass them- best if there is a big group of you! Its good to be mature! Guy
  19. I heard from David again last week- he is still with us! Guy
  20. Hi KB Its Hottrax- they have taken over doing track days at Anglesey by the sound of it from Track Time Promotions who have ceased trading. Be good to see you there. Guy
  21. I can see Steve Parish, ex GP racer, mate of Barry Sheene and inventor of the remote control fart machine in the second pic. Guy
  22. Cheers Søren I borrowed a Monster S4 for a day a few years back- they are a real fun bike to ride but do not feel as solid as a good ol' Guzzi. Guy
  23. Hi Paul The June dates are the weekend before Erin- I will be going to Erin too. Guy
