  1. Can we call it the Geekcu forum???
  2. Thats my map David- the lines simply show before PC111, and after PC111 installed and set up on the dyno. I have only ever used a custom map. Guy
  3. I am going to buy some FBF high comp pistons next week- I'll let you know how I get on. I will save big valves and headwork for next winter. Once the new high comp pistons are fitted I will get a my PC111 USB map tweaked on the dyno and post the results. Exchanged a few PMs with Helicopter Jim- he is happy with them. Guy
  4. Max was an excellent 250 rider- and I always wanted him to beat Doohan in the 500s because brilliant though he was, Doohan was boring me to tears by winning each week. I have seen Gerhard Berger race a Manx Norton at the Goodwood Revival a few years back- he's not bad on 2 wheels actually. Guy
  5. Isn't it about time we had an ECU forum for people with large brains, spectacles and white coats? I'll avoid it like the plague because I am not intelligent enough to understand all the garble. There seems to be a lot more posts re this than on the Tenni forum. Guy
  6. I am getting the vibe that you are a bit of a Max fan, v50man!!
  7. Careful Ben- you don't wanna get stretch marks on your mouth!
  8. I know from previous discussions that there are a few members of this forum from the UK that are interested in doing some trackdays. I have several dates for Anglesey which is a fantastic little circuit right next to the sea with mountains in the background- like a mini Philip Island. It is also Guzzi friendly (no long straights) and at 1 mile long, an easy circuit to learn with plenty of run off in most places. The possible dates are: Sunday 16th April Monday 17th April Saturday 3rd June Sunday 4th June There also some dates in July which I can't make due to holiday committments and also August Bank Holday which is weekend of V Twin Rally. Price is £99 for the day and the noise limit is 105db which means your effing loud Guzzi wil be fine to run on the track. One to one tuition will be available as will advice on bike set up. There is a little hotel 2 mins from the circuit and you can camp for free if you want. I understand that the camping facilities have improved since I last went there. I am happy to organise a group booking if there are enough takers- my preference is the April dates because I am very keen to get back on the track again but I could do June too. Please post if you are up for it. Guy
  9. Its a very common sight these days in summer in the UK for ladies to sunbathe topless- just like the rest of Europe. Personally I don't understand why people get offended by body parts- maybe a repressed upbringing causes it. My family used to holiday in St Tropez when I was a kid and it was a good biology lesson for my brother and myself because many nubile French ladies sunbathed completely nude. Guy P.S. I went topless too!
  10. He needs to enter the SBK championship first!! In reality it looks like he will switch to 4 wheels. Guy P.S. Corser 1.2 seconds faster than anyone else in pre-season testing- he is still the man to beat
  11. There were about 20 V11s and a few Daytonas last year at Boxmeer- a few Calis too of course! Guy
  12. They are called breasts and everyone has them.
  13. Hey stop insulting my Guzzi!!
  14. Ordinarily 400 miles is no issue in a day but I tend to be a bit sore headed in the morning at rallies! I blame the Dutch for buying rounds of 20 beers at a time and asking people to help themselves! Guy
  15. I am going to Erin, riding back to the UK, putting my clothes in the washing machine, having a bath, cleaning my gear and the bike then heading for the Hull - Rotterdam ferry to get to Boxmeer the weekend after. The German V11 rally is not a million miles away from Boxmeer so its possible I could pop over for half a day, if I stay sober enough to ride! Guy Just checked RAC route planner- its a 400 mile round trip- maybe I will sit in the sun outside my tent with a beer instead.
  16. You are dead right- Max has not signed a deal with anyone: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=mot...egory=SPORT_WSB
  17. Its a real shame it clashes with the Dutch Boxmeer rally- that is such good fun I can't miss it! Guy
  18. Who isn't???? Guy
  19. Whoops I blame the beer! Guy
  20. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/moto-guzzi-...604951317QQrdZ1 Quad D on Ebay for those who like that sprt of thing
  21. I think the answer to this one is simple- if you want to ride very fast, do it on the track, because eventually if you ride like a twat on the road you will get caught or splat yourself, which I have done 3 times when I was a stupid teenager full of testosterone. You can't do burnouts on a track day because its dangerous- someone may crash into you from behind but go to a drag strip and you can burnout to your heart's content for very little money. Can't see the point of it myself because you will just wreck your rear tyre and clutch eventually, and if you are drag racing a Guzzi, there is no need to burnout because our bikes don't slip and slide like powerful fours- they just dig in. Guy
  22. Its already a sales success- the whole 2006 allocation for the UK sold out weeks ago. Guy
  23. There is a scooter club which meets in a pub near me every Wednesday and to give them their due, they always turn out in numbers whether it rains, snows or shines. Guy
  24. Mods and rockers?? Glad to see English culture from the 1960s has arrived Stateside! Guy
  25. Just never had a problem- mind you I pressed my ears against the PA system when Deep Purple played Knebworth so I think I ruined my hearing in 1985. Guy
