    Macau

There is a programmme about Macau on Men and Motors at 7pm tonight. Maybe the same one. Guy
  2. Just wondered if I could fit in Boxmeer in addition to Erin. Does anyone know of Boxmeer 2006 dates have been released yet? I have already looked on Guzzi events NL site. cheers Guy
  3. there are a couple of dealers in the UK who sell them: http://www.dimarino.co.uk/shop/bikes/20?r=82&s= He has one for sale http://www.motomorini.co.uk/stock/guzzi.htm Has three for sale Guy
  4. I was thinking of something more traditional like a 1000S with modern motor, tyres and suspension. Nobody is going to buy the Norge or the Cali Vintage in the UK at the estimated list price of £9000 for each. A kitted out Breva 1100 seems like a much cheaper option that the Norge at £7500 with panniers and screen. Retros and dual purpose bike seem to be the bikes in the UK where the market share is rapidly growing- not sure what the story is in the rest of the world. Guy
  5. Guzzi should do something similar rather building Norges and tarted up Calis. Guy

    Reliaguzzi

Nice to hear some good news for once!! I must admit that since Helen broke her leg her V11 has been a little lonely and unused but same as you after several weeks its starts and runs great! Good stuff Noggers! Guy
  8. Well done Martin thats a great achievement- flying the guzzi flag with honour! I see somebody did it in a Reliant Robin- can't decide whether thats cheating or if he deserves a medal! Guy
  9. Talking of drinking and the Salvation Army, in Keighley they recently made "Temperance House" into a pub!!! Guy
  10. Had a lovely winter ride today in the Yorkshire Dales to Hawes then back through the Forest Of Bowland with Mal. Experienced torrential rain, mild sunshine, fog, more rain then more sun then freezing cold as the sun set. Roads were fantastic and the scenery awesome- hardly any other bikers out there- all you guys who have your rides tucked away for the winter are missing out! Guy
  11. Well we were not very nice in the past to our neighbours- Edward 1 hammered the Scots and the Welsh and we have done ourselves no favours in Ireland with Cromwell's atrocities- the English have in the past seen Scotland, Wales and Ireland as our possessions and have taken liberties with the people of those countries. Things are a bit better natured now but when we play rugby or football against them they always want to beat us badly- especially the Scots! When I go abroad I get on great with French, Germans and other nationalities but we also have a history of basically fighting them over the centuries. Remember that the globe was three quarters pink in the days of the Empire and we did not make many friends there either! These days our governments support for the America in the War Against Terror rnakes us as unpopular in many European and Middle Eastern countries as the USA- we are still seen as aggressors by many people whether you think that is correct or not. But in reality now we are a nice peaceful nation of tea drinkers who would not say boo to a goose- even our football fans behave themselves abroad since the police cracked down. Proud to be a Brit (bad teeth or not!) Guy
  12. It keep us both in mischief! My girlfriend has her leg in plaster at the moment so it down to me to ride 'em all!
  13. In terms of oomph at the back wheel that will depend on the dyno you use and how it is calibrated. I have similar mods and my bike made about 79bhp at the back wheel with 72 ft lbs of torque. Guy
  14. Martin Are you the guy who writes the Guzzi manuals? Guy
  15. Why would I want to mature????? My mental age of 18 suits me fine. I am happy to carry a zimmer frame and a camode for the old men of the trip. Guy
  16. I think you can get a ferry from Newcastle to Stavanger, Bergen or Kristiansand. I have already planned next years trips- all the UK Guzzi Club rallies, hopefully the UK and German V11 rallies plus Erin and a biking holiday in the USA. Thats what I get for carrying 15 days holiday over into next year! I really fancy Norway in 2007 though. Guy
  17. A guess- a Crocker?
  18. Thats cos I never read my Guzzi handbook.
  19. The countryside in Norway looks beautiful- must add it to my list of places I need to ride to! Guy

    Pedrosa...

Loris topped the Ducati test- bet they wish they were at Sepang with the others rather than freezing their b*llocks off! Hope Loris kicks spoilt brat Gibernaus arse next year. http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=mot...ry=SPORT_MOTOGP
  22. Cheers RJ- another point please Jaap!! Guy
  23. Is it a 6 stroke Beare motor?
  24. Datatool have just released one specifically for bikes- although this uses GPS to warn you of the published locations of speed cameras- dont think it actually detects hand held radar or laser units. I have a Snooper SD715iS for my car and this works well unless you are in town where there are too many false alarms caused by supermarket doors etc. There is no substitute for keeping your eyes peeled and staying alert though! Guy
