Norge = Lets have some exciting bikes Guzzi- you know you can do it. It's rapidly turning into a company that will only attract boring old farts- maybe Griso excepted. The Norge reminds me of a BMW RT Lets have a road legal powerful sportsbike- all the other manufacturers can manage it so screw Piaggios strategy of making it into a cruiser only brand. There- I feel better for that rant and I will take my medication now. Guy

It was a bit dark inside my garage and even with a torch I only managed to get the last few numbers 26 /85 / L262. I'll have a look in daylight tomorrow for the prefix but from memory it maybe 46HRC. Ohlins do not list the standard Guzzi Ohlins rear shock- you can only buy them without the remote preload adjuster from a Guzzi dealer or parts specialist so your local Ohlins specialist may struggle to find out info - hopefuly by just looking at it they will work it out. The only shock he will have listed is the one with remote preload. I know Motomecca can supply the standard Ohlins shock so they may have a part number for you. Guy

BFG- my number is printed on the actual spring- I can just about see it without taking anything off. Mine was built in 2003 so it may have a different number to yours but I will have a look when I get home if you like and let you know the number. Guy

Just did another 60 odd miles of scrubbing in the Diablo Corsas today. It was about 7 degrees C, sunny and cold with a mixture of wet and dry roads again. There was also plenty of salt on the roads. Was very scenic with the autumnal colours contrasting with the still blue water on the reservoirs. Has a great ride to Glossop for a cuppa and I am pleased to say that the Corsas worked well even on cold wet roads- I was really impressed actually. Can recommend the Corsa version of the Diablo for all weather condtions. Guy

If you like steep then Porlock Hill near Minehead is bloody steep a 1 in 4 hill- and if you want a challenge the Hardknott and Wrynose passes in the Lake District are not the steepest but there are some great crests and rises to test yourself against.

Think of Sandra and Tracey from Viz and you won't go far wrong!

I use EBC carbon lorraine rear pads, and as well as smelling of fish, last me about 3000 miles a time- they are very thin and I do tend to use to rear brake a fair bit to steady the bike. Original front pads lasted 10000 miles but they are much thicker. Have replaced them too with EBC sintered and they seem to be lasting well. Guy

I get through rear pads quckly too- I think its simply down to the fact they are thin to start off with.

Some chips and half a shandy normally does the trick in Huddersfield apparently!

Hi Søren Nearly all my family are blonde haired and blue eyed so I guess my ancestors must have been the victims of your raping and pillaging! I forgive you it was a long time ago! I will be visting Lindisfarne next week so I will keep an eye out for black bikes approaching from the North Sea! Guy

Somebody has strapped a Blunderbuss to the second bike- I presume that is to ward off preying Scuras attacking from behind?

There are a couple for sale round here- one £1800 private sale, another dealer sale £2195. I agree about what Martin says with the bodywork- maybe you can get crash bars. Guy
