  1. Ok I'll calm down now- MCN's artists impressions are unreliable!
  2. I am glad our cousins across the Atlantic are getting the Toad In The Hole thing. Making me hungry at the thought- have not eaten today just got back from seeing Motorhead at the Manchester Apollo- wow what a performance last time I saw them was nearly 20 years ago but all the fatty food Chav outlets were shut by the time we got out. Another thing while I am way off thread- I put some new rear Carbon Lorraine brake pads on the bike today and they stunk of fish- what is that all about? Guy
  3. Its not on the MCN website- just in the paper- would scan it for you but I have chucked it! Believe me it makes the V11 Le Mans fairing look beautiful in comparison. Guy
  4. Seen pics in MCN. It's fairing is ugly as fook. Someone has hit it very hard with the ugly stick- what happened to Italian style?? Guy
  5. There is no such thing as the last real Guzzi. If its got an eagle on the tank and made in Mandello then its a real Guzzi. Many will argue that their V7 sport / Le Mans 1 / T3 / Falcone etc etc was the last real Guzzi but they are all wrong. My V11 is the best Guzzi I have ever owned but I am not pompous enough to claim it is more real that a Griso or Breva even though I would not buy these bikes- they are real Guzzis and deserve our support and success. Guy
  6. You haven't lived until you've been sucked by your tank!
  7. Can I use the word "Twat" on this forum?
  8. I use to race a Norton Commando to work every morning on my 400 four in the 80s- he always beat me and used to grind his boots every morning at ridiculous lean angles! His seemed to handle fine!
  9. I wish I could claim credit but I got it from Google. The ones I make are much thicker! Guy
  10. Yes all my jokes are bad!
  11. Yep- Melandri seems to be best of the rest.
  12. I think these tough nuts would want the hardest cheese available- no compromises with soft Ceddar or melting French Camambert. If it was me, I would rub a cracker against the cheese each lap so I could snack on my way round. Their leathers must pong a bit afterwards though.
  13. Great pics! :
  14. Thats a big block of parmesan cheese he is rubbing against!
  15. To me, they are all real Guzzis- lets be honest a Breva or a Griso is not a million miles away from a V11, an 1100 Sport or even a Mark One Le Mans- all air cooled, shaft drive, V twins. Ok the details and frames are different but they are all made in Mandello. I love 'em all in their own way. I am and always will be a Guzzi pervert. Guy
  16. Well now that H has broke her leg and I ride her bike more than she does I guess its "our" V11 Sport although the Rosso Corsa is obviously exclusively mine.
  17. Hope you get home safely John. Guy
  18. I stopped at a wet roundabout in Luzern a few years back to give way to some cars- my mate behind me on a Cali EV was looking the wrong way assuming traffic was coming from the right (as per the UK) and rode right into the back of me. I managed to stay upright and had a small dent in my mudguard but he fell off and smashed his screen to bits. The piss taking lasted about 2 weeks. Guy
  19. Our V11 sport makes exactly the same dribble- not worried at all its just a smidgin. Guy
  20. I have never run it dry but since I had my PC111 USB setup I can get 10 miles to the litre whilst motorway cruising at 85 / 90 mph, giving a theoretical tank range of around 200 miles. Mals V11 makes identical MPG too. The speedos are optimistic though- when my speedo says 90mph I am really doing 82mph according to my GPS. Guy
  21. I went through three cables on my Rosso Corsa before the dealer agreed to retrofit the old style 2 piece cable which has been reliable ever since. My bike shows about 6000 miles when in reality it has done about 12500. Basicaly for cost cutting reasons Guzzi changed the design of speedo cables in 2003 to a one piece cable. This normally breaks very quickly- probably cos it has a kink in it to make it fit. I would not fart about replacing it with the new style cable- have a good chat with your dealer and get the old style parts fitted. Guy
  22. Well you have a Guzzi which means you probably have a decent chin amd prefer ladies to men!
  23. Its them open face lids they wear- leads to terrible facial injuries! E.g having no chin. Thats why they all have beards too to cover it up. I can't explain why they wear those funny leather trousers that come up to your nipples with braces though. Anyone have a clue? Apparently the BMW club have written rules which dictate the formation their Heinkels, sorry I mean BMWs must travel in- all sounds bit too organised for me I like the Guzzi club approach of making it up as we go along. Guy
  24. Training wheels? I could probably do with them! Have just bought a huge set of crashbars just in case. Guy
