  1. Helen has a 2002 V11 Sport registered in 2003 in burgundy. I agree there ain't many about. Guy
  2. Yes I enjoyed ridiing in Darwin- quite sweaty though!
  3. Just ride wherever I can- I walk to work since I have moved work location to my home town and a 3 mile trip would not do my bike much good. Most of my miles are racked up on weekend rides or touring trips. I now have now no tolerance whatsoever to the cold so will probably not ride this winter- may have to move to a warmer country! Guy
  4. I took it easy for the first few hundred miles then thrashed the bollocks off mine and it is now sweet as a nut after 12000 miles. Guy
  5. Fair enough- I was just making the point that the Yamaha is a lot faster now in comparison to the Hondas that it was last year- and whether is was Rossi getting on the power earlier or just plain grunt he can live easier now with the Hondas due to the excellent work he, Jeremy Burgess and Yamaha have invested in the bike. With Nicky I fully agree he had a great race but he came second. Guy
  6. How do you guys know all my secrets? Am I under surveillance by MI5? You forgot to mention my Rob Halford (Judas Priest) style leather cap! Rob Guy
  7. I think its plain and simple- Rossi can race better than anyone else and ride around the tyre degradation better than anyone else. The Yamaha also seems to have a bit more top speed than even the Hondas now- you could see that at Philip Island. Hayden rode his heart out but just could not catch him. I hope Melandri and Hayden can push him harder next year to make it a bit more exciting- and maybe even Capirossi may do it at the rate that Ducati have improved at the end of the season. Guy
  8. You've sussed me!!
  9. Yes you need to wear a dirty raincoat and ask for the "special interest" magazines. Actually W H Smiths always stock it.
  10. Here you go Pete-a nice automatic bike for ya! http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=mot...=NEWS_NEW-BIKES
  11. Motorcycle Sport and Leisure have done a good test of the Griso and say its the best Guzzi ever. Performance Berks have done a back page article raving about the MGS01. If you get the WH Smith Moto Italia magazine (by Alan Cathcart) there is some great photos of Italian bikes and a positive test of the Breva. Bought them all today! Guy
  12. Helen has carried much more than 3kg on the rack with no probs- I think the 3KG thing is to stop Americans suing them! She makes a good pack horse! Guy
  13. Woohooo!! (Mutley voice) "Medal Medal Medal!" Quiz point please Jaap! Have to rush to work- no time for the next question until this evening!

    Bright lights

I used a 100/80w bulb on my Jackal- made a hell of a difference with no negative effect on the electrics at all. It was the difference between being blind and able to see at night! Will pop one in the V11 when my headlamp bulb eventually blows. Some of the doom and gloom merchants may say it will drain your battery too much but I am sure there will be no problem. Guy
  15. Is this PC? How to tell if you beer is cold enough. Obviously the drink on the left is the correct temperature for those who like it cold...
  16. She looks like Rodney from Only Fools and Horses.
  17. Ok its a BSA C15 made to look like the Shuttleworth made by Fred Austin in Australia.
  18. You lucky bugger- hope the sun shines for you. I notice we now have 2 Fatboy owners on the forum- don't tell Belfastguzzi he'll get jealous when he is back from London! Guy
  19. Blimey you've foxed me now- head hurts.
  20. I used to buy cheap Hondas in my teens- had a couple of 400 fours (about £250 quid each), a VF400 and then I bought a CB900F with a gas flowed engine when I was 19. Then bought an FJ1200 then a GPZ1000RX before I was really old enough to shave! I used to commute to work on a long empty straight dual carriageway and I did 150mph or more every day (if it was dry) on the way to work on the FJ and GPZ- woke me up anyway. Would not dare do it now cos I am a big soft scaredy cat. Glad I found Guzzis. Guy
  21. It is the Shuttleworth Snap- here is a pic of George on it.
  22. Went to see them a few times in the 1980s- can't remember too much about the gigs but I do remember seeing them in about 1987 at the Top Rank Club in Southampton and they had loads of scantily dressed female dancers in bright bikinis- I wonder if she was one of them. Guy
  23. Do whatever you like mate- don't worry about what other people think. Guy
  24. I think its a replica or the original of the Shuttleworth Snap the bike George Formby rode in the TT film No Limits. Guy
