  1. There is a set of brand new factory Titanium cans plus ECU on EBAY: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-MOTO-GUZZI...1QQcmdZViewItem Guy
  2. Those guys are great- I have done (attempted!) a similar autotest on my V11 and its bloody difficult. Guy
  3. I'm waxing my Agostini rack and my Tekno pannier frames so they just cut through the air! Apparently anyone going down the strip on a Guzzi has to have a man walking in front of you waving a red flag just like in the good ol' days. Guy

    MSG\01...When?

The first owner raced it in Club races at Croft circuit in North Yorkshire- I know this because I made some enquiries when it first went on sale. He sold it to a mate (the second owner) who has been trying to sell it for some months- it has been on EBAY several times. You can buy a new one (still several for sale in the UK) for £15K (probabaly cheaper if you haggle) so £13K for a "used" one seems a bit steep to me. I would guess as a race bike it was not run in like a road bike- more likely thrashed from the start. Speak to Guzzibun about making one road legal- he has done it with his but for daytime use only. If Guzzi reveal a road legal MGS01 at the Milan show as rumoured, this may save you the bother of making one road legal but how much they cost and when they will be actually in the shops may be another matter. It is probably a right pain the arse to wire it for lights etc- probably more suitable as a race / track bike. Good luck if you buy it! Guy
  5. I'll let you know about the BT014s- going to replace my 020s next week after I have finished the rear off at Santa Pod this weekend. Guy
  6. Funnily enough I mysteriously lost a rear indicator lens near Coleraine not far from Belfast Guzzis stamping ground- it just disappeared. Maybe his obsession with orange things has let to this bout of kleptomania and he has a big pile of them in his chicken shed. Guy
  7. I ordered a new ratchet arm from my local dealer for Helen's V11 and when it eventually arrived it was definitely the updated version with a smaller boss. Seems like the factory have sorted this now but be careful of accidently getting old stock from a part specialist which happened to me on my first attempt at ordering. Guy
  8. I would say if you can, take a test ride of an early V11 then compare it to a Rosso or Nero Corsa. I like the looks of the earlier bikes and have ridden a couple of the early V11s and found them to be great fun but I enjoy the sophistication of the Ohlins suspended Rosso Corsa. Its bumpy round here so I really appreciate the better quality suspension- I sometimes take Helen's V11 Sport out for a ride and enjoy myself but find the ride a lot harsher whereas the Rosso just seems to float over bumps which knock the V11 Sport offline. Whichever option you choose you wil get a nice bike but try before you buy. Guy

    MSG\01...When?

Its back again- this time a bit cheaper: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MOTO-GUZZI-MGS-01-20...1QQcmdZViewItem
  10. Yes and here is another pic
  11. Weather permitting, Mal and myself are riding down to Santa Pod next Saturday to thrash our V11s down the drag strip. Not expecting any fast times but its great fun. Its only £15 for unlimited runs. Here's the details if anyone fancies having a go themselves: http://www.santapod.co.uk/e_2wheels.php Guy
  12. My Rosso Corsa will remain number one wife. Guy
  13. I have had exactly the same problem recently. I took the seat off and poked the relays while the motor was running and it turned out to be the fuel pump relay (the one nearest the back on my bike) that was failing and cutting off the fuel pump whenever I went over a big bump. I replaced the relay and the problem seems to have stopped- am about to go for a test ride to see if its really fixed. Guy Just went out for a brief test ride- so far so good.
  14. Bad luck mate- hope both yourself and the bike are sorted soon. Guy
  15. I was too busy polishing my chrome German WW11 helmet and learning to spit tobakky.
  16. Do I smoke or snort them?

    paintwork

Thanks mate- I am bodging the scuffs with colour magic at the moment but when the time comes for a respray I will go down the same route as yourself. Guy
  18. Don't worry about it being slightly overfilled- I always put 4 litres in rather than the prescribed 3.5 as per my dealer recommendation. Been doing this for several years with no problems. Guy
  19. I actually left 10p in the honesty box before I made off, singed tassles blowing in the wind. Guy (Carrot and Salad Dodger) P.S. Can I try some of your hallucenigenic drugs please BFG?
  20. You have obviously seen my bad ass shades! And just what exactly is a bad ass as opposed to a good ass? How are these things judged? Who decides??
  21. Yes the lobotomy worked well- I have been programmed to "walk bad", give "withering stares in bad ass shades", stick out my gut as far as possible, treat my bitches "bad", drink weak beer and whoop a lot. Well this is what most of the chartered accountants and solicitors do in the local Hog Chapter! Guy
  22. YEP! Though I have lost 22lbs since my op I can still qualify as a Fat Boy!
  23. Just call me Dr Who! Yes I have a new toy on the way- sold my little car and bought myself a HD- well it arrives in this country next month. Also sold my Jackal to my parents- my 58 year old Mum is now riding around the Hampshire lanes on the back of my old Guzzi. She calls herself a Biker Babe! Its about time I slowed down a bit so am looking forward to cruising around the moorland roads without having to take urgent sheep avoiding action at 90mph. I was thinking of slowing things down a bit anyway but the recent death of a friend was the final straw. Keeping the V11 of course- it will remain as my track day bike and will take me abroad too. The HD is a 2006 model- for some reason they launch them in July. No tassled jacket or HOG patches here I am afraid and my only tattoo will be a Guzzi eagle! Now let the piss taking commence! Guy
  24. Well I hope you are keeping safe BFG- those guys who riot and try and kill the police need to chill out a bit. Guy
  25. Even late V11s have crappy relays too. The guy responsible for chosing them in Mandello should be hung upside down from a lamp post Mussolini style for the amount of bother they have caused. Guy
