  1. I fully agree that in standard trim there is plenty of ground clearance- I ride regularly to the edges of my tyres and have never decked out on my V11. My only concern, and I may be wrong of course, is that is someone dropped the pegs a few inches then the ground clearance may be compromised if they liked to lean. Guy
  2. I think the seat idea is the best- lowering the pegs may compromise ground clearance if you ride enthusiastically. I am not tall but had the seat on my Jackal made 2 inches higher for comfort reasons by Kevin Jones of Highlander Products in Tamworth. He recovered the seat and stuffed it full of much higher quality more supportive gel. He does not have a standard spec- he will listen to what you need and modify your seat accordingly. I am sure he will be happy to do your V11 if you wish. Guy
  3. I think the aftermarket Stucchi nose fairings look best on the V11 Sport. Helen has one on her bike and it works a lot better on the motorway than it's small dimensions suggest. Guy
  4. I would not panic yet- in the UK this is all now done by computer so the vouchers in the book are not used. Not sure what the system is overseas but a phone call to the importer should clarify where you stand. The warranty should be transferrable so you can benefit from any potential claims. Guy
  5. I have seen at least one other 4 valve Ghezzi Brian at last year's V Twin rally in Shaftesbury. This was also sold by Pietro at Motori Di Marino for about £20k. Guy
  6. Just noticed this on Motori Di Marino's website: http://www.dimarino.co.uk/shop/bikes/6?r=75&s= Looks as though it has a 4 valve motor. No price yet- I will assume expensive! Guy
  7. Am I right in saying Mladin used to be a factory Suzuki rider in 500GPs, but had a horrible accident?
  8. I have seen 2 new Coppa Italias advertised with the factory titanium pipes and ECU as part of the deal- one in the UK and one in Holland. Does this apply to all new Coppas? If so, it makes it an even better buy. Guy
  9. Rossi is obviously a nice guy but I think with Sete he proved he can be nasty when the need arises. Ever since Valentino got nasty with Sete over the scooter burnout incident, Gibernau has struggled and seems to have been out psyched. Did anyone see the Hopkins highside? Ouch- can't believe he walked away- must have had a good back protector. Guy
  10. Factory website shows a dealer in Dordrecht: Bert Lanser Bamendaweg 50 DORDRECHT 3319 GS Maybe one of our friends from the Netherlands can confirm this info to be correct as the factory website is often out of date. Guy
  11. I always lift my visor and give the petrol tank a good soaking.
  12. The V11 tag has also been applied to what we call the California range of Guzzis in the States, whereas in Europe the V11 tag only applies to V11 Sports and Le Mans. That looks like what we would call a California Special Sport- the one with the low seat- I believe it may be called a V11 Bassa in the States. Guy
  13. Must have been a huge ping pong ball.....
  14. Ouch!!!! Good job he is a rich boy! http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=mot...ry=SPORT_MOTOGP
  15. Looks good Big J. Maxton have an excellent reputation and set up many TT racers so I am sure you have made a wise purchase! Guy
  16. What a masterclass by Rossi today! Those wet conditions must have been terrible to ride in but he just rode off into the distance. Must have been about 10 fallers in the Moto GP race. 125 and 250 races were entertaining too.
  17. Welcome to V11 ownership! I am sure your bike is fine ("they all do that sir") but if you want some reassurance it may be worth getting another Guzzi owner to have a listen. There are plenty of guys in the Scottish branch of the Moto Guzzi club GB who I am sure will help you. The Highland branch contact is Ronnie Leadbitter on 01250 872125. They are due to have a camping weekend at Findhorn on 12 / 13th August if you fancy meeting up with them. Regards Guy
  18. HC travel arrange tours and bike hire worldwide. I believe you can hire a California in New Zealand. http://www.hctravel.com/
  19. You can see the prices in sterling on Corsa Italiana's website http://www.corsaitaliana.com/index.php?f=d..._breva_1100&a=0 Guy
  20. The music charts in the UK now include tracks legally downloaded from the internet (or t'internet as they say round these parts). This includes mobile phone ring tones too so yes- that bloody frog made it to number one in the charts because every teenager in the country downloaded it at great expense!
  21. Independent brakes. Congratulations on your new purchase Chris! Guy
  22. Rossi does not like the Laguna Circuit and has been complaining about the dangerous bits- still not going to write him off though.
  23. Congratulations on your new baby John! I am sure you will love your Rosso Corsa! I have one too and am down the road in Huddersfield. Guy
  24. Ok I admit it!! I like the 1150GS Adventure!! I feel so dirty........
