  1. Some photos from the rally and from our travels in France and Germany.
  2. Just got back from Boxmeer, and am sorry to hear of your crash Jaap. Shame we did not get to meet up but thanks for organising such good weather for the visitors from across the pond. See you next year maybe- we enjoyed it so much we are going back for sure. Guy
  3. We have just returned from Boxmeer- it was my Rosso Corsa that you saw Antonio. It was a great rally- brilliant weather and loads of beer. Took a ride out to Teo Lamers on Saturday led by some Dutch friends then after the rally ended we rode down to the Black Forest in Germany, and enjoyed the twisty roads down there before heading back into France to enjoy the sunshine for 3 days in Montmedy. All 4 Guzzis in our group (3 V11's and 1 LMV) were behaving themslves until we got close to the Europort in Rotterdam where Helen's gearbox return spring broke, luckily leaving her in 3rd gear, and at exactly the same time, my fuel pump relay broke, although I had a spare one. 11 days of riding Guzzis in nothing but hot sunshine on empty twisty European roads- can't get better than that. Guy
  4. Just packed for my trip to Boxmeer- gaffa tape, leatherman, spare brake and clutch lever, 5 pin ormron relay, rear wheel bearing, spanners, allen keys, cable ties and screwdrivers. Marvellous weather forecast for the weekend in Western Europe but we will get wet tomorrow on the Highway To Hull. Guy

    luggage

I can recommend a Hein Gericke luggage sausage. Very capacious and waterproof.
  6. If its true, and it makes decent power and is reasonably priced then I will have one! Lets see if it turns out this way first. Guy
  7. Helen and I will be camping in the locality on the Friday night.
  8. Watched highlights of the superbike and sidecar races on the IOM on Men and Motors tonight. Superbike winner John McGuiness was just plain awesome spending more time airborne than on the ground! Guy
  9. Not a bad day for Ducati- as well as Capirossi's podium, Hodgson won at Road America in the pissing rain in AMA Superbikes, and Lavilla won at Croft in British Superbikes. Guy

    headshake

I took the screen off my Jackal today and went for a thrash with some sports bike riders over the moors- had a massive tankslapper while crossing some cats eyes flat out in top, then dug my right footpeg in the asphalt on a bumpy bend. The guy following me said my back wheel was about 8 inches in the air while I hung on for dear life. I think I will stick with my ohlins bike for that sort of riding, entertaining though it was! Guy

    luggage

Before I take a long trip I absolutely soak my Teknos in gore tex waterproofing spray and this seems to help. Guy
  12. Steady on old chap- many of our American cousins may have been against the war just as most of us Brits were. We have voted Blair in again just as they have re-elected Bush.
  13. I think anyone with Sky can get it- you can find all the regional BBC channels just prior to all the crappy soft porn.

    Suck This

Is that bicycle computer attached to a sofa? Must be a bloody fast chair.
  15. Thanks Jaap- I enjoyed that!
  16. Maybe they may enter the Manx GP instead?
  17. I can't see any Guzzis entered this year but there are 3 Voxans entered in the Senior TT with riders with French names. A couple have posted respectable practice times- good luck to them!! Guy
  18. Bastards! Sorry to hear your bad news mate- I hope you get it back in one piece. Let me know if you need to borrow any blunt implements to help remove the thief's testicles when you catch him. Guy
  19. Sounds excellent! I wonder if any MGS01s are racing in the UK this year- I would love to go and cheer them on. Guy
  20. Robin Out of interest, how much more hassle would it have been to make the bike legal at night too? Just wondered if you could have fitted minimalist headlights lights in a similar style to endurance racers? Guy
  21. They look great- I expect you will be plenty of posing in the next couple of weeks!!! Guy
  22. I have not overcomplicated things with my Oxford heated grips- simply plug them in direct to the battery using the same lead as I do for my Optimate battery tender. No problems whatsoever. Guy
  23. I could manually power the new wind tunnel- just give me a big can of beans for dinner, washed down with a few beers and I will power that big propellor! The test bike may need a hose down afterwards though. Guy
  24. If you did not want your bike to become too ugly you could fit a V11 Le Mans fairing and keep the Guzzi looks. I have found it fine for motorway work and you can get a taller screen from MRA if you want. Guy
