Looks like the photo was taken at the old garage at Motori Di Marino in West Chiltington.

I saw the TT Tenni in action at a track day in Cadwell and can confirm it sounds awesome!!! Good luck- let us know any dyno results if you get it tested. Regards Guy

Copied this from my workshop manual. Give me a shout if you need any more info. Guy

Keith I have gone the whole hog and have most of my lid cut away. If you are running louder pipes like Mistrals I dont think this makes much of a noise difference in comparison, maybe slightly louder. Have done the same on my Jackal and am pleased with the results on both bikes- if you are noot sure then I guess there is no harm in doing a little at a time- start with little holes then if you want more make 'em bigger! Regards Guy

Crossover needs shortened for Guzzi Ti pipes?

Any good for you BFG? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...7976317085&rd=1 -
These are very tough machines- running them up to 8000 does them good!!! I must be a masochist because I was really enjoying the racket my motor was making in the dyno room. Sweet music to my ears. Go on- give it a go!! Guy

I understand there will be a mobile dyno at Boxmeer this year- I know that Helen, Mal and I are all up for a run- anyone else? Jaap, Paul, Antonio? As well as being a bit of fun, it will be a rare opportunity to compare outputs of different V11 set ups on the same dyno in the same conditions so we can put a bit of science behind what works best. How about doing this on the Saturday? Guy

Yep it is a bit impractical- I can get more luggage on my Jackal but I used it as daily transport for 3 years with no problems- it does 40mpg (imperial) due to the low state of engine tune and low mass. By numbers, look at lap times not bhp or top speed. It will embarrass much more expensive supercars and is much quicker than my V11 on twisty roads due to the extra grip from 4 fat tyres. V11 would eat it in a straight line or on fast sweepers though. Even the heavier version of the Elise they sell in the states would eat the new Corvette or Viper for breakfast around a twisty racetrack, even though on paper they have much more muscle. Its all about finesse not brute force! It also reminds you what driving a car should be like- no power steering, no ABS, no servo brakes (just like a bike), no electric windows, no cup holders (who invented those!), no carpets and no stereo as standard. If you ever visit the UK I'll take you out for a spin and show you what I mean! Regards Guy P.S Back to Guzzis now!

Its ok Big J I have a plan- if I am attacked by blue faced skirt wearers I will chuck them some clumps of turf from Wembley stadium and some deep fried Mars Bars- that will keep them off my trail for a while!

Here you go Ben: http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/roadtests/guzzirosso/

Have not got any figures for you Ben but I once took my old 5 speed 1100 Sport Corsa to the drag strip at Santa Pod and squeezed a 12.9 second standing quarter. There was a bit more to come but my gear shifts were not quite perfect due to a oil contaminated clutch that was beginning to slip. Best time I have seen in a motorcycle mag for a 6 speed V11 is 13.1 seconds. The interesting thing was when I was comparing times with fellow riders, the Guzzi stood up quite well against more powerful Jap superbikes when it came to the first eighth of a mile (about 8 seconds) but lost out big time when they managed to find their top end power for the remaining part of the run. I may take my V11 to an open day at Elvington airfield later this summer where you can take part in some measured speed testing and see how it compares. Guy

Hi V50 Well thats good news because the UK Lotus forums used to be inundated by guys from the States who were desperate to get hold of one but could only buy one for track use. The newer models now have a Toyota engine- mine is the series one with a Rover K series lump chosen because it has an aluminium block. You are dead right about low weight- the car only weighs 1540 pounds (700kgs). I used to lust after a Spitfire when I was a kid- my next door neighbour had one and used to gaze at it every day. What colour are you going to chose for your Elise? Regards Guy
-
It is a Lotus Elise- I don't think you can buy one in the USA because of your strict safety laws that mean cars have to have airbags and anti lock brakes etc. I never figured why you guys were so bothered about that stuff seeing as you can carry big guns about! It is a lot of fun if you like cars but takes second place behind the V11 in my affections. Bikes will always be my first love- did not bother taking my car test until I was 25. Here is a pic taken when I took it back to the factory in Hethel for a track day at their test facility. Guy

My British car has been extremely reliable in the 4 years since I have owned it- my Japanese company car has been nothing but trouble! A toast to good ol' Blighty there is life in you yet!

Cheers Big J- all in the plan already! These are my favourite roads- will camp at Applecross, Portree and head up the coast. There is now a return ferry service to the Badachro Inn from Portree so will also be taking a boozy boat trip with no riding involved. Maybe a bit of dolphin watching on the Black Isle once we get sick of the midges. Regards Guy

I have recently fitted EBC sintered front and rear and can confirm a little more bite, although I was pretty happy with the standard set up anyway. Took my friends GSXR600 out for a spin the other day and was very discappointed with the brakes compared to my V11, bearing in mind it is lighter and supposed to be a proper sports bike. Guy

Have booked the Friday 15th July and the following week off work and will be touring the Highlands. We are aiming to camp near Spean Bridge on the Friday night so will pop over to the hotel and say hello. Guy

I could never imagine my Rosso Corsa getting out of shape- it is absolutely rock solid. Most of the roads around here are bloody bumpy but it soaks everything up in its stride and I have never moved the steering damper from its minimum setting. I have had it flat out in top gear and it was perfectly stable and safe. I can't imagine a safer more stable bike. Guy (210lbs and big boned)

Nice one Jim!!
