  1. I have ridden most of the NW200 course and tried to visualise where and how they would do 200mph, and found it difficult to comprehend. Big J is spot on with his comments. Total respect to these heroes.
  2. Surprised I did not bump into you- yesterday rode over Snake Pass down to Matlock Bath (full of idiots on Jap bikes hammering it in a 30 limit past crowded streets), pub stop in the sunshine overlooking Carsington Water then back through Dovedale where the roads were relatively empty for a Sunday. The sun was shining and the scenery fantastic! Guy

  4. You mean just for a change????
  5. Hey whats wrong with monkeys on bikes???
  6. Sounds as if Belfastguzzi has been to a Hawkwind gig tonight and inhaled the atmosphere!!!
  7. Yes- they are one of the best US / Armenian rock bands around! Have you heard the new single Bring Your Own Bombs? Guy
  8. I never understood all the fuss about Tupac- he is really overrated. Just because he was stupid enough to get involved in all this gang stuff and get shot then he is made into a hero- bloody idiot more like. All his records rip off other peoples tracks- where is the talent in that? People who worship him should get a life. I am looking forward to the new album from System Of A Down- comes out this week I believe. Guy P.S. When Suzi Quattro was singing about her Daytona Demon was she referring to Paul?????
  9. I went to see Green Day in Manchester in January and they did not seem to be fans of things becoming Americanised! I personally think in the main we have a good balance of opinions from different countries on this forum- obviously there are loads of Yanks about so there will be plenty of posts from the USA but I see quite a few posts from Canada, Britain, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and France. Alex flies the flag for Greece too. Not many though from Italy, Germany, Belgium, Spain etc though- the fact that English is the spoken language on this forum may play a part in this. Guy
  10. Very nice lustrous paint but you need a few dead flies on it.
  11. You are so right there- I wear Altbergs in winter and they are very warm and completely watertight (as tested in Scotland!) buy may be a bit sweaty for your climate over there. If you want some order three months before you need them! Guy
  12. Very smart bike indeed!
  13. I have worn Alpinestars for several years- most comfortable boots I have ever had and also great protection. My first pair of GP Techs protected my feet during a trip across the Australian continent, including the hottest part of the Outback and my feet were comfortable in those conditions. They will eventually leak if it pisses down but you don't seem too worried about that. Guy
  14. Sorry- can't upload them either- must be a glitch on the site. Guy
  15. I'll do it for ya mate Send em through Guy
  16. Congratulations! Looks nice in red!
  17. Ummm..have not got a clue. I know that when I was waiting at Hobbsport I read a long leaflet about the differences in SAE and ECE but I am jiggered if I can remember what it was. I am sure that someone on this forum will know. I understand that the Hobbsport dyno is famous for giving "lower" BHP readings than other local dynos, but racers seem to keep coming back to them and they have an impressive CV when it comes to setting up winning race bikes. I guess the actual difference made to the motor is much more important than theoretical numbers. Hobbsport used to run a Guzzi race bike in the Earlystocks series a few years back, which actually won a sprint in the rain against much more powerful opposition. I can recommend them to any UK Guzzi owners. Guy
  18. I ride with Mistrals because I like the sound they make- simple as that- no need to justify it with claims of increased safety. Guy
  19. The other thing worth noting is that the Stucchi weighs a lot more compared to the standard crossover, so if it does not make much of a difference in power then probably not worth fitting, except for the fact that is looks much sleeker than the standard one. I am keeping mine on now I have paid for 3 hours of dyno time! Don't think the Rosso Corsa has any differences in compression compared to a standard Le Mans. Mine is a good motor though- I ran it in carefully for the first 600 miles, then competed in a hillclimb and tracked it at around 1000 miles, and generally ridden it fast ever since. It is really beginning to feel great now- maturing like a fine wine as I reach 8000 miles. And the good thing is I know it will get even better as the miles roll up! Look forward to next month Mal-
  20. Can this be cleared up by looking at the part numbers in question for the RM and California and seeing if they are the same for both types of bike? I have a Cali parts list on my PC if you tell me the model in question I will look it up for you. Just a thought. Guy
  21. If your plan works can you please send your CV to Quality Control Dept, Mandello Del Lario. You may be overqualified though! Guy P.S. Just thought about another easy fix- gearshift lever nut- works loose after a while so a bit of loctite helps- I know this has hapened to several forum members.
  22. With all the considerable knowledge and experiences that are shared on this forum, it is so easy to get a bit paranoid about what is going to go wrong next. Probably worth seeing to the easy stuff like replacing relays with quality components. As for the more serious stuff like valve stems, worry about it only if it happens! Chances are that if you get on and ride everything will be fine. Nothing like putting a few miles on your clock to find out what works and what doesn't! Just my Guy
  23. Are you in the USA? If my memory serves me right, US riders are given the option of $1000 of accessories if they chose not to get the motor resprayed under warranty. Guy
  24. Here is my chart which as you say Mal is very similar- I believe we both had identical set ups when we got them dynoed apart from my Stucchi crossover. My peak power is nearly identical at 78.7 rwbhp and torque peaks at 71.9 ft lbs. What I really like is the way it makes 70ft lbs smack in the mid range just where you want it. You can really feel this punch when riding it. The comparison on the chart shows before and after the custom PC111map was installed. I love it when my bike torques dirty to me! Guy
