  1. Excuse me for getting a bit gruesome here, but maybe attaching a rope to all of his limbs, head and genitalia, attaching the other end of the ropes to 6 V11s then letting them ride off one at a time, head last would be a kind option. God help anyone who steals my Guzzi! Guy
  2. Dr Shipman is no longer with us but any doctor who specialises in sex change operations will suffice when it comes to operating on that thieving bastard.
  3. Yes I think he works in the parts department according to the website.
  4. A bit of Googling has led me to deduce that the purported seller works for Kawasaki Newcastle.
  5. The funny thing is that I have been corresponding this afternoon with the seller to see if he wants my car as a straight swap!!!
  6. Confused here. Have they just nicked the photo of your bike Jim?
  7. This is the same MGS01 that M and S motorcycles in Newcastle have been trying to flog for ages. They are turning up bloody everywhere now- Conquest motorcycles in Dorset now have one too! I think that takes us to 8 now in the UK- with 2 sold I think. Guy
  8. I am a similiar weight and found that increasing the rear preload by 2 clicks made things much better for me. May also be worth considering increasing the rebound damping on the rear, which will slow down the release of energy after you have hit a bump. Best to try things a little at a time as the Ohlins suspension seems to be very sensitive to adjustments and 1 click can make a hell of a difference. Guy
  9. Hi Mal Just checked the workshop manual- says for 43mm Marzocchis use 435cc. Regards Guy
  10. Yes we have booked the ferry tickets now and hope to be there Friday morning. Look forward to meeting you, Antonio. Regards Guy
  11. All the tickets for Glastonbury sold out this morning in 3 hours flat.
  12. Following a tip-off from Mal , who has just had the same issue I just checked my V11 gear linkage and yes, the nut was loose and about to fall off. Guy
  13. Millions of Germans will be devastated at this news! He is very popular over there as a singer!! Guy
  14. I can recommend an autocom system- can use it as rider to pillion but also for bike to bike. http://www.autocom.co.uk/ Guy
  15. I went to similar festivals when I was the same age and it never hurt me- Van Halen / AC/DC etc. I had friends who were banned by their parents and they just felt excluded big time. All part of growing up- let them do it but as Martin says, make sure they know they are well informed about drugs and watch out for Scousers nicking tents! Guy
  16. Hi Alex It comes with detailed maps of the UK and Western Europe.
  17. Well the kit arrived this morning- manged to find a good place to mount the bracket, and have adjusted it to an optimum position, which is easy because there are 2 ball joints giving loads of flexibility. This has enabled me to mount it without obscuring the dials and warning lights. Initial impressions are good- screen is very visible as you are moving along and it is very user friendly. It confirmed my suspicions that the speedo is optimistic- overreading by 10% roughly. The bracket is made by RAM mounts and the whole package cost £350 including bracket and Garmin unit- one hell of a lot cheaper than the Streetpilot. Guy
  18. Is it really that bad in North Wales? I am not sure whether any of the firms that make pipes with removable road legal baffles manufacture a silencer for the V11. If you were more local I could direct you to a guy in a small industrial unit near here who makes silencers for some of the big brand names. He could probably weld in a road legal baffle into, say, a Mistral, stamp your pipe to say it is road legal then it would be up to you if you decided to break the weak weld holding in the legal baffle. Just don't tell Martin!! Guy
  19. I have been reading this thread with interest as I have been considering getting a GPS sytem for some time now, but have been waiting for the prices to fall. I was convinced of the benefits of GPS after following a friend through Dublin and finding the ferry terminal in 10 minutes flat whereas it would have taken us ages using normal maps. After a bit of research, I have decided to purchase a Garmin Quest with a custom made bike mounting bracket. Its a lot smaller than the other Garmin units, but also a lot cheaper. It is waterproof and comes with maps of the UK and Western Europe. I will probabaly adapt it to run from the bikes power supply but it comes with rechargeable batteries that last up to 20 hours. Not a lot of room to install it on the V11 but I reckon I will be able to squeeze the bracket on somewhere. I'll let you know how I get on. Guy
  20. Keep your chin up mate! Have a few beers at the weekend- you deserve a drink! Everyone on this forum is hoping your baby comes back. Guy
  21. I think the bike looks so much better in action than it does standing still- we have seen too many photos of the bike bolt upright at exhibitions or in showrooms. You are a lucky guy to take one for a thrash / blat / blast etc Todd! Guy
  22. Thanks for the info Jaap- I will check out the Gasthof Adler. Unfortunately we will be back on the ferry home when that rally starts. Damn work!! cheers Guy
  23. I think the clip may be shot in Spain- I thought the number plates looked Spanish.
  24. I think S stands for left, D for right.

Jean-Marc I have posted details of your stolen bike on the Guzzi Club GB Forum- the more awareness we raise the more likely it is to be recovered. Good luck Guy
