  1. Both versions are ugly. Someone should buy it, spray in matt black, then use it as a despatch bike in London until it dies. At least it will have served a purpose in its life.
  2. Did Peter mention whether he was racing again this year in the Manx GP? If so, on a Guzzi? Guy
  3. I wonder what he did with his Ohlins forks?
  4. I believe 7 bikes made it to the UK: 1 M & S Motorcycles, Newcastle (For Sale used) 1 Twiggers, Leics (For Sale) 1 Colwyn Bay, Wales (For Sale) 1 In Moto, London (For Sale) 1 Paul Dedman Performance, IOM 1 Motori Di Marino, West Sussex (For Sale) Don't know who sold the 7th but it has been bought by a geezer who has made it road legal for daytime use only. Interestingly, the one for sale at Motori Di Marino is advertised as 1260cc- a misprint or has it had something special done to it?? Guy

I am sure the Griso will be a great bike but by sports bike I was meaning more like an MGS but cheaper, roadworthy, faster, available and ready to kick Jap ass!! Yes I know I am dreaming!
  6. There was a marque called Lady in Belgium that made bikes with Rudge motors in the thirties. Obviously not then!!
  7. Is it a Lady?? From Antwerp??
  8. A Vincent HRD with a Rudge engine?
  9. Rudge 1933 499cc?
  10. Wild guess....Batavus? 125cc?
  11. I keep getting emails saying that I need Viagra- then the next day I get them saying I need breast enhancements. Help I am confused!!

They should hopefully sell well at that price. The rival BMW R1150R is priced about £500 more than that. I hope it is a success but I want Guzzi to make sports bikes again! Seems unlikely at that moment.
  13. What is the verdict please, Jaap?
  14. You could start by trying David Grist at H C Travel- I know he specialises in crating bikes back and forth for riders wanting to take their bikes on holiday in the States, so he may be able to help if it is the other way round. Guy http://www.hctravel.com/
  15. Looks like it is true I am afraid- Louise Brady, the blonde presenter with a wazzo pair of jugs, is quoted in MCN yesterday saying the channel is finished. Even though it pulls in good ratings for a specialist channel, they can pull in many more veiwers by showing crappy repeats- the reality of commercial TV I guess. Shame- no more bikes, no more jugs.
  16. I'll do my best but no promises mate!
  17. Do they have a sausage dog on the passenger seat like Roscoe P Coltrane???
  18. Bad news- just as soon as they develop a channel with loads of bike programmes on TV, they decide to axe it. Men and Motors is being flushed down the toilet and will be rebranded ITV4, showing boring old repeats of Inspector Morse. No more Bikes Aloud and Guzzis on telly I am afraid.
  19. Is it the new Piaggio-Guzzi MGS02 prototype???
  20. Is it an FN Jaap? Looks like the photo is of Liege. Guessing at 500cc. Guy
  21. Still struggling! A clue please Jaap! cheers
  22. You don't see many traffic police on bikes these days. I believe that funding has been reduced and more investment ploughed into speed cameras. Main pursuit vehicles seem to be fast (for a car) Volvos and Subaru Imprezas, with a few of these unmarked and patrolling areas such as the Yorkshire Dales. I personally would not even attempt to outrun any of these guys- helicopters are always on back up and your every move and speed is recorded on video so even Enzo's lawyer could not get you off! If you are signalled to pull over, best to do so, be polite, eat a bit of humble pie and you may get off with just a bollocking. Smart arses definitley get a ticket and if you start a dangerous police chase you will end up in jail for a few years. The increased traffic on our roads and heavier handed policing is the reason why many riders are now turning to track days to let their hair down and have a bit of fun in a safe environment. Guy
  23. Well you picked a good one this time Jaap the rest were getting too easy! I have been without sleep, food, drink and sex for the last 2 days trying to figure this one out- searched on every mainstream and obscure western European manufacturer- Dutch sites, German sites, Australian sites, British sites and still no luck. Read loads of books, consulted gypsy fortune tellers- still no good. The bike has a really distinctive engine- especially the lines of the crankcase and I can't find a match! I'm going to bed and will start again tomorrow- assuming some smart arse has not got it by then!
