I was quite aroused by this picture in particular. Am I normal or do I need help?

I understand it was a Triumph T120. Syd Barret got someone from a Triumph shop to ride the bike fast past a microphone.

If you do not mind a trip up north, there is a Guzzi dealer in Newtownards: Xtreme, Newtownards, Northern Ireland Tel: 02891 812153 I have knowledge of how good they are- maybe someone else on the forum knows?? Plenty of second hand V11s for sale here in England at bargain prices and you can get huge discounts on new ones. Have a look at the Guzzi selection on www.biketrader.co.uk. Also plenty of specialist parts importers who will post bits to you efficiently. Regards Guy

Just watched Bikes Aloud on Men and Motors channel where they tested a V11 Le Mans Rosso Corsa against an Aprilia RSV Factory. The two road testers gave the V11 the thumbs up and lots of praise for its character, usefullness and originality. Both testers (who normally favour more sports orientated machinery) said they would buy the V11 over the Factory. All in all about 10 minutes of very positive V11 exposure and some nice shots of the bike in action. Program is repeated several times this week- here is a link to the schedule if you can receive this channel: http://www.menandmotors.co.uk/whatson/prog...KES%20ALOUD%202 Guy

They are most definitely brighter and I am told come on faster. Really for me it is just a cosmetic thing cos I think they look good and I can't stop myself spending money on my V11!!! Guy

Hi Søren! I will probably get a ticket for the plate one day but I don't care. It is technically illegal but the letters are full size and hopefully the police are more worried about the guys who have tiny unreadable letters. ARSE! is the war cry of the Pennine branch of the Moto Guzzi Club GB- if you ever hear it at a rally you know who is making the noise! I am getting a number plate made up with a picture of a big pink pig for my girlfriend's Le Mans Mark V- this is not a reference to the police but its just that she likes and collects pigs! Please let us know if you decide to go ahead with the Xenon kit- I must admit I have my eye on it myself. Regards Guy

Just fitted an LED tail light conversion kit to my V11. Took about 5 mins to fit and it simply connects to the existing fittings, using the standard bulb holder. Available from www.nippynormans.com cost was £49. Have also bought one for my Jackal. End result looks brighter and more modern. Here is a couple of pics showing tail light only, and one with brake light on- maybe I should have done these at night to get a better view! Guy

BT020s rear 4000 front 6000. The front in particular turns crappy towards the end of its life when it gets cupped, but otherwise no complaints. Guy

Yes a bit but not substantially louder than when I was running with just Mistrals. Guy

Mistrals, lidless airbox and K and N filter

Sounds like you have solved your problem but if you are still unable to get one in the US then I know where you can get them in the UK- Corsa Italiana. I bought a Stucchi crossover from them in the summer and noticed the difference immediately. Had the EFI set up with a PC111USB on a dyno on Monday and the torque improved even further- 72 ft lbs max and making around 70 ft lbs for a big slice of the midrange. Well worth it. Guy

Here is a bit of info about the Guzzi classic parade at the TT in June. I know a guy with a Dondolino who is taking part. http://www.iomguide.com/races/tt/tt-news.php?story=663 I don't know of any Guzzis racing in the TT but there may be a couple in the Manx GP later in the year, an 1100 Sport and possibly an MGS01. I watch the on bike camera section of the DVD whilst pedalling on my exercise bike- makes me go faster! I understand there is going to be a parade of classic Guzzis at this years TT. Guy

Take a look at: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=mot...NEWS_OTHER-NEWS What next? Will they be designing bikes with in plug in points for your colostomy bag? Special foot boards for riding in slippers? Carbon fibre bike mounted zimmer frames? GPS that tells you what the area used to be like when it was still all fields?? A trip computer that remembers the price of a pint in 1958?

That is Ian Cobby a few years ago at the Mountain at Cadwell Park- guaranteed wheelie spot if you are a mere mortal, an airborne spot if you talented and bonkers! Guy

The importers here in Blighty said originally all were sold but that has changed now. It may have something to do with the original price being floated around as being £12000, when it actually turns out to be £16000. One has been sold to a racer who is planning to race in Battle Of The Twins or the Manx Grand Prix. I have toyed with selling my car and buying one- maybe if the prices fall I could be tempted!

Found another MGS01 for sale: http://www.dimarino.co.uk/shop/bikes Common as muck now! I think last count there were 5 unsold UK bikes. Easier to find one of these than a new Rosso Corsa now!!! Guy

Wasn't that Ghost Rider guy from Sweden? From what I saw on his DVD he did not seem to worry too much about any speed cameras!!

I am sure that some of the more mechanically minded posters on this forum can give you some better advice than me, but the 2 occasions I have suffered clutch slip on Guzzis have both been due to a leaking engine oil seal allowing oil to contaminate the dry clutch. If you look at the lower rear of your motor and notice oil leaking then that may be your cause. Good luck with getting it sorted. Guy

Actually, if this "slowing your Guzzi down" trend becomes popular, I will start a firm called Slow By Ferraci and sell airboxes made of lead, with denser more restictive air filters. I will also add cast iron exhaust systems to the range which will also keep noise down to electric car levels. I will also commission dynojet to create a special map for the PC111 to keep power and torque at a minimum!

Nice one! I reckon Wales has the best roads in Britain, and they are reasonably accessible to the majority of UK riders. Shame about the attitude of some of the police though!!! Lasy year I did a run on a newly tarmaced road heading away from Machynlleth towards Strata Florida in mid Wales. I believe the locals nickname it the Welsh TT and it was one of my best rides of the summer- empty and twisty and mountainous!

Take a look at: http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=mot...WS_PRODUCT-NEWS I assume metal bodywork is for anorexic 8 stone weaklings who find the power to weight ratio of their V11 too much to handle and want to calm things down a bit!!

There is one unsold Rosso Corsa left in the UK that I know of- a 2004 model up for sale in Moto Strada in Shipley being advertised at £7495. He also has an unsold new 2002 V11 Le Mans in black at £6495. It is pretty common for new Guzzis to hang around for several years in dealers showrooms gathering dust, long after the model was discontinued. Guy P.S. I wonder if I can buy an unsold MGS01 at half price in 2 years time!

I have just had word that the BMW Club are once again inviting Guzzi club members to their track day at Mallory Park on 21st July, estimated cost £79. Should be a good day with BMWs and Guzzis reasonably matched on the track. Will be a few V11s there I am sure including myself. Guy

Mal who posts on here occasionally has fitted the Givi Wingrack to his Le Mans. I think he is still on holiday in New Zealand but if you drop him a PM I am sure he will reply when he is back. Regards Guy
