  1. Just got in from a night out round Leeds and Huddersfield, including watching Anti Nowhere League and Rancid. I will give due consideration to this matter when I am in the right state of mind. Goodnight Guy
  2. Seem to be many more "limited edition" Tennis, Scuras and Rosso Mandellos than Rosso Corsas!
  3. A very worthy thread- thanks for sharing Antonio. I think the nice lady on the Marzocchi stand needs some rebound damping to help her walk along bumpy roads. Guy

Good job I'm not a Tyke but a Hampshire Hog!

Careful lads I reckon the moderators axe is being sharpened!

You gents should have met up with Mal, myself and Macguzzi this weekend- Mal and I were on a stag do and we met up with Euan for a couple of pints. Maybe next time.
  7. Exactly Keith! Read on Wildguzzi that Guzzi sales are plummeting worldwide- can't see the new line up grabbing the attention of the buying public.

    What election?
  9. Genetic tests have shown that England is also a big Celtic nation- with many inhabitants being genetically Celtic. The old thought that after the Romans came, all the Celts fled to Wales in a myth- most stayed put in England. But if you wish to exclude us from your club I do understand
  10. I wonder if some of the V11 guys on European Guzzi forums would be interested?
  11. This one has been made by the Firestarter garage.
  12. Just logged in- beginning to look good BFG!
  13. I like the wheels but wish Guzzi had fitted clip ons and an underseat exhaust rather than giving it a tarty paint job.
  14. A single sided swinging arm and a CARC will not lend itself to the styling of a classic cafe racer. If Guzzi want to build one that looks good it needs to be twin shock.
  15. I have been doing a bit of geneology, and have managed to go as far back as 1780. While I was doing this, I found out a little more about my Great Grandfather Ernest Lewis, who was a professional soldier and was killed in WW1 in Northern Greece. I traced his war grave to the Commonwealth cemetery in Thessaloniki, and asked Dimitris if he would one day take some photos of his gravestone. Dimitris has gone out of his way to kindly send me some photos- what a great guy! Thanks matey Guy P.S. When my grandfather was made a POW in Crete in 1941, his German captors allowed him to visit his father's grave in Greece, an act of humanity during dark times.
  16. Well done Dimitris- you have done a very good job with your bike! She lives again! Guy
  17. Been using Abba stands for years- would never use a regular paddock stand again. You can easily whip off the rear shock and there is no risk of the bike falling over.
  18. I was hoping to get a job in Mandello one day- I figured I could be the guy that refills the grease guns- reckon I would not be that busy! Seriously, I wish the workers well! Guy
  19. Antonio / Jaap- you are most welcome to stay over at our place on route if that helps. We will either ride to Angelsey and get the ferry to Dublin, then head North, or maybe go up to Stranraer and cross to Belfast. Angelsey gets my vote because I would rather do more riding in Ireland. Best to make sure ferry docks in Dublin outside of rush hour cos the traffic is bad. I was amazed a few weeks back how much better the roads are in the republic now- the EU cash is making a difference- in fact the roads are now better than round here!
  20. Way too clean- the owner needs to ride it through a couple of salty winters to get that special used Guzzi look. Do like the forks / brakes- I am guessing Aprilia Mille R?
  21. Very jealous!
  22. John has promised it soon!
  23. I like it! Although I think I preferred the earlier pics with the bare metal tank. I restarted work on mine yesterday after a very busy summer.
  24. I wonder how many hours it will take Søren to make it non-stop from Denmark to Northern Ireland? Reckon his Scura has wings and a jet engine!
