  1. Todd posted on the Guzzitech forum a few days back that a Stelvio had been seen at a SoCal dealership and was being prepped for use.
  2. Can't make August but I may be able to get to Snett!
  3. Are you racing at any more rounds this year Gyles? It is about time I got off my arse and supported you! Have not had a chance this year- been too busy riding. Guy
  4. That would be great thanks Jaap- I have not yet had a chance to look at the old bracket to se if it is repairable- will take a look tomorrow and get in touch. Cheers Guy
  5. Excellent!!!! I wrote that on the piece of paper they gave me hoping it would be printed! Is that in the Koerier? Cheers Guy "Arse" Lewis
  6. I came out as a chair, called TUÄT .
  7. No defence of Mal from me- he has turned, plain and simple. I can't criticise too much though as I have a 4 wheel vehicle from the same manufacturer. Great to bump into Jaap and Anton at Boxmeer. Thanks to Anton for the bottle of Bols he kindly gave us.

  9. Sorry to hear of your crash, Dimitris. A cost effect way to repair it may be to turn her into a naked bike, like a V11 Sport, if you don't mind sacrificing the fairing. You will need a 7 inch Bosch headlamp (shop araound and buy a used BMW unit) and the two V11 Sport headlamp brackets You can get pattern levers for a fraction of the cost of the originals (try Agostinis) and exhausts keep popping up on EBAY at reasonable prices. She will be back on the road with a little effort! Guy
  10. Well done Gyles! Impressive results when you consider the relative size of your beast! Cheers Guy
  11. Just out of interest, how did Gyles get on? Cheers Guy
  12. I tell you what it is great being a neutral when your national side is too crap to qualify. No stress or heartache- just relax and watch the games and enjoy. The conditions in the Switzerland match last night were appallling but it was fun to watch, and I also enjoyed the Germany - Croatia match. If the Netherlands win their group they will be playing their quarter final on the Saturday night while we are at Boxmeer- maybe against Sweden or Spain. I reckon the bar next to the rally site will be busy!
  13. If you are near Inverness go to Channonry Point near Fortrose on the Black Isle- great place to see Dolphins at play right up close to the shore.
  14. Just to add to Brian's comments you can also tap the top banjo bolt where air bubbles can linger. Be persistent 'cos it can take a while- better if you have two people sometimes, one to pull the lever in and out, and one to hold the hose on and open and shut the bleed valve.
  15. And another... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhNXJGmcqNI

  17. I had to bleed the clutch on a mate's CBR1000RR yesterday and found it much easier with a simple open ended tube rather than with a fancy tube with non-return valve on the end. Sometimes the old fashioned ways are the best.
  18. Errrr is there a football tournament on this summer? All the English prima donnas will be busy sunning themselves on the beach as they failed to qualify so miserably. Don't want Germany (no offence to any Germans but you'll understand!) or Portugal (we all hate Ronaldo!) to win- would be happy to see the Dutch or Italians do well, or even the Swiss. At least the Austrians won't have to put up with hordes of pissed up English visitors- apart from the ones arriving from Yorkshire on their Guzzis!
  19. Just bought one of these Frank Thomas jackets that let the air flow through in preparation for our tour of Eastern Europe, where it is bound to be very hot. When I was on holiday in the USA I must admit to eventually giving in to the heat and taking off my jacket and helmet, which I know is not a good idea but it did make me ride very safely knowing I would be f*cked if I fell off! Yes I know it was silly blah blah blah ...what if I had an accident...blah blah blah....
  20. So if Scura riders like a bit of manly S & M in black rubber gimp suits, which fetish do the Tenni guys prefer? A good thrashing on their bare bum so they can rub it on the suede seat afterwards? Its a good job us Europeans are liberal and understanding of each others needs and preferences- do ya reckon the stateside meetings are as kinky?
  21. From listening to the Eurosport commentary it seems as though they have fiddled constantly with the chassis in an effort to improve, but have actually ended up making the bike worse than last year.
  22. I thought Vale's new helmet was ace- quite funny, original and a clever marketing move 'cos every scooter riding youth will want one. The guy at the our local Hein Gericke says there are 500 of the design being brought into the UK. Thought Rossi was masterful today. Great day for watching bike racing with Moto GP, WSB and TT 2008 all on telly today.
  23. You don't do things by half do you Orson? Excellent pics and an great report- you have certainly found many of the nice places in France. Good news it is such a big country there is plenty more to find on your next tour!
  24. S & M meet? Well I think Bertie and Søren may have a few tales to tell......and Euan being BFGs gimp..........it all makes sense now- maybe that's why I woke up on the Saturday morning with clothes pegs on my nipples and an orange up my arse!
