Huckleberry Hound

I've been reading Viz for 21 years- the cartoons are good, but the best bit is the Profanisaurus Dictionary Of Swear Words. http://www.viz.co.uk/ Dont click here if you are easily offended! -
If I need parts from the USA, they are sent to my brother in law in Pennsylvania who then sends them to me as Xmas or birthday presents. Import duty does not apply to gifts.

Pedrosa up Rossi's arse
-
Just watched the first Moto GP practice session for Sunday's race live on Eurosport. Highlights Casey out in front, but Lorenzo right on his tail in 2nd, with Toseland in 3rd. With the exception of Casey, all the front runners are on Michelins, which seem much better than last year. Factory Yamaha has a bit more grunt compared to the non-factory bikes of Toseland and Edwards who are running the old motors. Edwards seems to have refound his enthusiasm and looked good in 4th. Pedrosa crashed by running into the back of Rossi mid-corner- seemed to be blaming Rossi for suddenly backing off. Rossi managed to stay on, and I reckon would have smiled to himself, although his decision to choose Bridgestones looks questionable as he has 3 Michelin shod Yamahas in front of him. Factory Hondas way off the pace- Pedrosa and Hayden not even in the top ten. Suzukis slightly better but Kawakis looking slow too. Eurosport showing live qualifying Sat night, and the races live on Sunday night. Looking forward to it- looks like Casey may have a race on his hands with Lorenzo. Guy P.S. Brits dominating 125cc practice- 17 year old Bradley Smith leading, with Danny Webb in second.

Funnily enough the same guy had recently posted to say he had done 4550kms on his 8V Griso with no problems whatsoever- but I'm guessing that at least one person somewhere has had a problem. Maybe one of the dealers that post on here has access to a relevant technical bulletin?

A Dutch guy has just posted on the Guzzitech forum saying that his dealer had phoned and warned him not too ride his 8V bike, as there is the danger that a nut will loosen from the oil pump. His dealer said he would call back when he knew more info. If this problem is true, then I guess there will be a recall- the joys of being a guinea pig with a new motor. Guy

Great work Joe- that Seasick Steve is ace- he is playing the Royal Albert Hall later this year. Not sure if he is as popular in his native USA. -

Not sure on this one colur scheme looks Parilla. 175cc? 1963? Wild guesses! -
Motobi- not sure of exact model- guessing B200 1954

I think there was a CARC recall for early Breva 1100s, and I know some Norge owners have been complaining about the ride height on laden up Norges. But apart from that there seems a lot less complaining and troubleshooting regarding the newer bikes . The Guzzitech forum specifically for the newer bikes may be worth a read through. Wot ya thinking of getting? Guy

Guzzirider replied to Jock Guzzi's topic in 24/7 V11
Verrrry slow progress- doing the odd little job on it here and there while I wait for the guy at the Tank Shop, who is very busy. What new car are ya getting? -
Beautifull all Red Ballabio for sale in Scotland

Sorry to hear you are selling your V11 Mark- it certainly is a fine bike. -
Another possibility is that it could be the clutch slipping, maybe?

Anyone watch WSB earlier? Dominated by Troy Bayliss on the 1098R Ducati but the second race was memorable for Max Biaggi's very high speed crash, resulting luckily for him in just an injury to his wrist and a very broken Ducati. Maxsplat In race 1, Fabrizio failed to start resulting in him being swatted on the start line at 80mph- very lucky not to get seriously hurt and his boot got ripped clean off. There was another crash after the red flag was waved: Raceonesplats

I've decided that if I am going to bless my V11 with more poke, it is much easier to swap the motor for a Centauro unit with a big bore kit rather than throw £££££s at making a 2 valve motor go faster. After seeing Bruce overtake me on the straight on the Raceco Daytona at Cadwell Park last summer, I got an appreciation of how fast a 4V Guzzi can be.

Spanish Police deal with terrorist
Guzzirider replied to orangeokie's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
I don't know why they simply did not shoot him- would have been much cleaner and precise, with less risk to the police- a car driver can get hurt if their vehicle is hit by a motorcycle. -
Here's a photo from last years V11 Treffen- I thought it would be rude not to dress like some of our German V11 riding friends.

Just use the synthetic Motul gear oil- has an additive so you don't have to much about adding Moly. Not worth worrying too much about.

Casey is awesome- he deserves a lot more credit than he gets from some quarters. Rossi is by no means written off, but I really think Stoner is simply a faster rider than Vale at this moment in time. Saying that, if anyone can raise his game it is Rossi. Toseland should be used to the cold- he is from down the road in Sheffield! He did well considering the damage he has done to his ankle- I understand his time was set during a 22 lap race simulation rather than on a fast qualifier.

Yes ok I will! Helen is coming with me! Thanks for sharing the pics- must have a ride on that bridge!

Husband and wife are shopping in the supermarket when the man picks up a crate of beer and sticks it into the trolley 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife 'They're on offer, only £10 for 12 cans', he says 'Put them back. We can't afford it,' says the wife and they carry on shopping... A few aisles later the woman picks up a £20 jar of face cream and sticks it into the trolley. 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the man, 'It's my face cream. It makes me look beautiful,' she says the man replies... 'SO DOES 12 CANS OF STELLA AND IT'S HALF THE F *& KING PRICE'

Have you used Eu-Expedition for bikes and car transport?
Guzzirider replied to a topic in Travel & dealers
I wonder if EU-Expidition can haul the V2 I have in my back garden?
