  1. A few pics: http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16683
  2. Yup. It is in one way a harder route to follow because a lot of parts that would fit an earlier Tonti will not fit the Cali frame without modification. But on the plus side, the Cali motor is way more powerful than any other Tonti model- for example a friend's LM1000 dynoed at 62bhp, my Cali kicked out 72bhp at the wheel and has lots more low down grunt. You also get a longer braced swinging arm, and chunkier forks. You will need to relace an 18 inch rim on the rear hub because the 17 incher will look a but weird. A friend Mal has just bought an 1100 Sport carb motor to fit in a Spada frame....
  3. Bruce has built the motor and done all the hard work! Needs a bit of wiring, a few finishing jobs then an MOT hopefully next month.
  4. Cheers Keith! I do more cycling than motorcycling these days so my arse is used to a hard leather Brooks saddle and any sort of bike with a suspension feels luxurious. The other bike is Mal's Project Satan. Used to be a fat ugly Centauro but is now a svelte short wheelbase 1288cc mental wheelie monster.
  5. It's an '01 model year. I believe they had white wheels with a black tank and silver trim. Red frame, but I don't know any other details. Are you able to post a pic? Cheers Guy
  6. Very sad to hear the news that Slavomir passed away after a motorcycle accident on the 15th August. R.I.P. matey
  7. Very sadly I think it is true- had a quick look at Slavomir's Facebook page and even though I can't speck Czech there are some obvious condolences and tributes from friends. He was a true Guzzi enthusiast and offered to meet up when I was touring the Czech Republic with some friends, offering plenty of advice to us. I am sad that our paths never crossed. R.I.P Slavomir. Guy
  8. Bought a pattern part made by my local spares supplier Gutsibits. It is two hoses joined together into one.
  9. The 30 amp on Helen's V11 blew the other day because the regulator / rectifier was toast.
  10. I have just done the job on my Quota which has an identical arrangement. New stainless hoses should be less than £40 including a new banjo bolt and crush washers!
  11. You will need a PC111 USB part 706 411 Cheers Guy
  12. I packed 2 gearbox springs on a recent European trip for Helen's V11 (just in case!), spare brake and clutch levers, bag of spare nuts and bolts, araldite, cable ties, bulbs, tools, relay, fuses, wheel bearings, rubber gloves, duct tape and most importantly a big hammer
  13. First saw the Zagato bike several years ago in a magazine pictured at the Ducati Club Races in Assen- well I ermm sort of copied some of it on my own cafe racer. I'm not quite so pretty or petite..
  14. Be careful to have a thorough examination before riding her if the pic is taken in Thailand. She could have a big leaky shaft.
  15. Yep sounds like it needs taking to the vets and then humanely destroyed.
  16. Trevor- I am happy to whip a starter off one of my bikes if you want to try that on yours.
  17. Bugger sorry to hear that!
  18. Looking great Jaap! Have you ever counted up how many bits of your original V11 Le Mans remain on your GB? Guy
  19. I'm not bloody posting either.
  20. If you want a Daytona, the RS version has good quality White Power suspension, 17 inch wheels and more power than the earler Daytona. Neither of them are cheap to buy, and if you do buy one then budget potentially for a new oil pump and cam followers. The Sport 1100 injection shares the frame and cycle parts from the Daytona RS, has a motor similar to your V11 but with a 5 speed gearbox. The Sporti as standard had a higher profile rear tyre than the RS. There is a Sport Injection Corsa model of which 200 were made, and these had Carillo con rods and a full Termignoni race exhaust system. The Sport Carbs have similar motor to the Sporti, are lighter but with an 18 inch rear wheel (I think) and a more fragile gearbox. Sport Carbs are reasonable cheap, Sportis are a bit more expensive and Daytonas are bloody expensive. I have a Daytona RS which is a moneypit.
  21. The manual petcock on Helen's V11 got stuck open and while it was attached to the tank I could not get enough purchase on it to free it up, but after I removed it from the tank it was easy enough to get it moving again with the help of a vice. I hate the type with the two wires so easy to break- done it myself.
  22. Excellent! A Spitfire flying low at full chat is an awesome sight. There is an airfield not too far away near Selby that has a historic flight based there, and if you camp nearby you can watch several different types of WW2 fighter planes throughout the day. Strange that a deadly weapon of war can also be an object of beauty. Guy
