  1. Great pics Keith- looks nice and hilly. Do you fancy going back in the spring? Cheers Guy
  2. Hmmmm maybe this one's going to be a stumper.
  3. In 1969, my hippy parents took myself (2 years old) and my brother (baby!) to see the Stones in Hyde Park- I can't remember going but apparently we sat near the back having a picnic. Not a bad first gig! On Wednesday night, I went to see Black Sabbath (rebadged as Heaven and Hell) with Ronnie James Dio singing- and they were excellent. Also enjoyed the very very loud support Lamb Of God. Guy
  4. If he can't get one in the USA, I can give you a link so he can ship his own bike over- maybe cheaper than renting too. HC travel
  5. One of those answers is correct!
  6. You could try Pietro at Motori Di Marino
  7. Ok- to win the full quiz point you must tell me: The name of the film this still is taken from. The type of bike falling off the cliff. Why was this guy murdered? The country the film was made in. The type of bike that the cop rode in the same film. No half answers accepted- you must get them all correct!
  8. You could buy a lovely original V7 Sport instead, for less money. I know which one I'd prefer.
  9. KTM RC8 superbike. We are lucky enough to be spoilt for choice these days when it comes to tasty twin cylinder bikes.
  10. Honda DN01- I'd rather drink my own vomit than ride this
  11. Limited edition Haga rep R1. Looks like a giant seagull has shat on it!
  12. Buell 1125R- plain fugly
  13. NCR Paul Smart Ducati
  14. Morini 1187cc Granpasso- very powerful, Ohlins rear shock and 50mm Marzocchis upfront.
  15. Just been launched as expected
  16. New Aprilia SMV750- competitor to the new F800GS? Which would you prefer?
  17. Bimota DB7 with 1098 motor- mmmmmmmm nice.
  18. Aprilia FV2 concept bike- 1200cc carbon frame, weighs less than 160kg.
  19. I thought I'd start a thread to discuss the latest models being launched at EICMA this week. Guzzi's press conference is this afternoon. Let's start with Ducati- they launched a completely new model Monster last night- the first new model being a 696. I'm not sure about it- I know it sometimes takes time to adjust to new shapes but its not quite right for me. I would have expected something a bit more daring from the designers- is this a little too boring? Apparently when the rest of the range is announced they will be aircooled only- there will be no fast Monsters any more. The next model is the 1098R: This model has been built so that Ducati can go racing in WSB and BSB next year. Too fast and expensive for me, but it would be nice to take it for a thrash down the road- looking at about 170bhp at the back wheel. From a twin, that must feel pretty violent! And there is the 848- a baby 1098 but with a claimed 134bhp at the crank! I'm sure its fast enough, but if its not much cheaper than the 1098 then they won't sell many 'cos most punters want the biggest motor available. If its cheap enough, then it could sell well. Looking forward to the Guzzis? Is there a surprise in store for us, or have we seen all the new models already? And what about the new Aprilia V4? Guy
  20. Full story here, John: MCN story
  21. Lapped only 5 seconds outside the Moto GP lap record- not bad for a novice- he looks quite comfortable on a race bike too.
  22. Can someone please fast forward the clock until we hit spring!?
