  1. Yes- but a Stucchi fitted underneath may give you similar gains in power and torque as fitting the front crossover and will be much cheaper in total I would imagine. Guy
  2. You will also need 2 new header pipes and gaskets- will be expensive unless you can find some second hand items at a cheap price. I have read a post saying that fitting a Stucchi crossover gives similar gains in power and torque so why not buy one of those instead? About £200 in the UK. Guy
  3. I think the main thing in the UK is that the chances of actually being pulled over by a traffic policeman diminish with each year. How often do you see a bike cop these days? And how often do you see a traffic officer in car, unless it is on a motorway? Instead the government relies more and more on cameras for law enforcement, so any element of discretion is removed and dangerous or drink driving goes unchecked. Guy
  4. May sound over cautious but I simply decided that I was not going to risk Helen's life by leaving the Sachs on her V11- so bought an Ohlins intead which I know will stay in one piece. Guy
  5. The Mexican barman joined us and poured himself the biggest shot!
  6. More my own take on the design- I will need to get a friend with photoshop to help me with the design. I think BFG is a closet Tenni-ist too- don't fight it- let your natural urges come out- you will feel much better for it. Guy
  7. They are a really sh*t teen metal band- manfuctured to appeal to 14 year old girls. Very popular. Guy
  8. That's not a worm- this is a worm- well a decomposing rattlesnake actually. I took this photo whilst on a stag do on Mexico- the barman poured us all a long shot which was full of scales and bits of dead snake- but it was free alcohol so I can't complain!
  9. I am seriously considering respraying my V11 in that green next winter- maybe with some white numberboards front and aft. Guy
  10. Medal Medal Medal!!!
  11. Did you ever get a point, BFG?
  12. Confederate Renovatio Project 1686cc Forged Powder Metal Titanium Guy
  13. Just in case you didn't know I'm the quiz Daddy!!
  14. I think so far, from the forum we have: Chris & Jane Jaap Ferguzzi Jockguzzi Helen and myself Mal Antonio & Dith Grossohc? My friend Magnus is also riding up with us on either his 1000S or LMV. Guy
  15. Yep- GW thread returns through the back door! Guy
  16. I think a completely red bike, with red frame would go togther well. Here is one Guzzi made earlier:
  17. An update on those mirrors- did a motorway run with them the other day and they do vibe a bit and the view behind is blurry. Fine round town though. I'm sticking with them- good incentive to keep my speed down. Guy
  18. I would imagine a fair few Americans would get by ok in Spain or South America when it comes to speaking the lingo! Many Brits are just lazy when it comes to trying to speak another language- unwilling to learn even a few words of another tongue because they just expect everyone abroad to speak English. I cringe when I hear a British tourist abroad barking orders at some poor French hotel receptionist in English, just assuming she understands. Saying that, many Europeans do speak English so we can get away with it! Guy
  19. I agree with Jim- looks good outside. Guy
  20. Thought I'd add this brief post as I could not find any existing info on here when searching for a solution to this problem. If you fit either LED, or micro indicators you may find that they won't flash with the standard flasher relay as they work to a lower wattage than standard. You will therefore need to replace the flasher relay with one designed for these type of indicators. I have found one with a 2 pin connector (same connectors as standard) which is a very simple replacement as you can simply swap them without any rewiring. Several others I have looked at (e.g. Motrax) would involve mucking about with wires. Fitted to the bike this morning and indicators work perfectly. Bike It relay Guy
  21. I'd rather have a used one with 60k miles on the clock, a little battered and worn with sensible mods and some caring previous owners, for a fraction of the cost that this will probably go for. Guy
  22. I have read somewhere that if you use a heat gun on the Harley paint after you have applied it, that is supposed to improve the finish. Guy
