UK Ducati dealers have got the message- they offer a comfort bar conversion for free.

I like the Duke- its is a good effort but I think maybe a bit too big and wide- not sleek and minimalist like the original bevel drive 900SS. The wheels are nice and I think it looks better with twin shocks, as opposed to the side mounted single rear shock. I am looking forward to seeing the rumoured 750F1 based tricolore Sport Classic. Don't try This at Home.... Unless Authorized....

I used to do this when I was younger, and did not have a garage. It's nice to sit watching TV on a cold winters night in front of the fire polishing your bike! Can never get rid of the strong smell of fuel though! Guy -
You are not alone- mine's fine too. Guy

I bought it new 7 years ago and used it a lot, touring Highlands of Scotland a couple of times, Pyrenees and a trip to Mandello. I sold it 18 months ago to a family member who was looking for a bike, and it was not getting used by me as I was recovering from being sliced up by the docs. He now wants to buy a new car so is reluctantly selling it back to me. It is fully kitted out with twin brembos, screen, centrestand, mistral crossover, lidless airbox, Hepco and Becker hard luggage, Hagon Nitro shocks and I got the seat rebuilt so it is higher and more comfy. I am flying down to Southampton next Friday to ride it back up to Yorkshire. I am looking forward to owning a Tonti again. I have an emotional attachment to it, like all the Guzzis I have ever owned! Welcome to the forum Foxy!! I am sure you will love your V11! Guy

Hmmm I did not know that Boxmeer was now 22nd to 24th June- we were planning to go there the last weekend of our annual European tour. We now may be able to visit the German meeting but we will not all be on V11s. There will be possibly 3 V11s in our group, Helen, Mal and Mark (Jockguzzi), but I will probably be on my Jackal and accompanied also by a BMW1150GS and a Triumph Tiger. I'll have a chat with the crew! Guy

Yes it is not the standard Ducati Monster fairing- I think Jaap has fitted one of those. Mine is a Ducati Performance carbon fibre part- it was brand new and was being sold half price by somebody on the UK Monster forum. It is quite different in shape and fitting to the standard Monster item. All I needed to do to make it fit my V11 is use a round file to widen the holes that the headlamp bolts feed through. I have not done any long trips yet or ridden in the rain but it seems to work well. The profile is actually wider than the Stucchi nose fairing on Helen's V11 Sport. Cheers Guy

I bought the Le Mans as it was a good deal- £6900 brand new when the list price was £8700. I was actually looking for a Scura at the time. The fairing is fine albeit a little ugly but it is much more fun without and I think it transforms the looks of the bike as well as the feel. I can understand why people want to do the reverse (fit a LM fairing to a Sport) as the fairing does work well but I prefer to be different! Guy

Interesting stuff- seems that whatever you do to these motors, the end result is normally a thicker midrange and more torque rather than oodles of peak horsepower. Do the German police also enforce noise standards with foreign (e.g.English!) riders? Cheers Guy

Go for it- the bike feels completly different with a little wind on your face!

The missing words are Moto Guzzi. Am I now banned from quizzes? Guy -
Stucchi are slow in replying- it will take weeks. Guy

Yes they are bugger and are different fittings to earlier machines. I had to take off my tank on Sunday and had forgotten what I did the year before but it came back eventually after some head scratching. Basically push the grey plastic ring in your left hand towards the front of the bike, whilst holding the fuel hose in your right hand and pushing towards the back of the bike. The hose then simply pops off- once you have figured it it seems so easy but very frustrating while you are figuring it out! Guy

It has taken me a while to find some suitable mirrors for my now naked V11. Criteria was that they must look good but also work! I tried some Motrax mirrors but these gave a really crap view so in the end have fitted some aftermarket mirrors designed for a Buell XB9S. I bought them from Trojan Horse. Price is a reasonable £14.89 each. As you can see they look pretty sleek, have loads of adjustability and fit well. Look much better than the butt ugly standard V11 Sport mirrors! Rear view looks pretty good too. Buell mirrors Guy

After looking at one in the flesh I think the styling is a mess. I agree with the posts above that it is just a Breva with a nose fairing and diffent bars, plus the Norge motor. Claims of it being the most powerful Guzzi ever, launching it to the world on a racetrack, painting white numberboards on it and calling it a Sport won't convince us that it is indeed a sporting tool. Still may be a nice bike to ride but it is not what is says on the tin. Guy

I was going to stop fiddling with my V11 but have been thinking about twin plugging and flowing the heads for a while. May I ask how much you were charged for this service? Cheers Guy

Does anyone (besides Fast by Ferracci) make a fender elim kit?
Guzzirider replied to NorBSATriGuzzi's topic in 24/7 V11
Yes Rossopuro do- I am in the process of ordering one myself. Click on the link above- they are a sponsor of this forum. You won't be able to order one online- drop an email to Paolo D'Alcini first. Be patient- takes a while dealing with these guys compared to places elsewhere in Europe or the USA! Guy -
Cheers for the pic John! Rosso Corsas are as common as muck in West Yorkshire! Dave mentioned he had sold his Guzzi a few weeks back- last time he did that and bought a Honda, he switched back to a Guzzi again faster than you can blink!! What new bike have you ordered? Regards Guy

I'll be at my local MAG AGM this afternoon which is held at a club 3 hundred yards from my house- they will hopefully have the telly on as England play Scotland at Twickenham. Difficult one to call- Scotland are improved, and won last year, whereas England have been awful. Hopefully the new players added to the squad will make a difference! Guy

Hi Antonio I love them- stable and quick steering with lots of confidence. Good in winter too if it is wet and cold. Before that I used Bridgestone BT020s which were ok and slow wearing but nowhere near as nice as the Diablo Corsas. Corsas do wear out quickly though if you take a long motorway trip. Good excuse to stick to the twisty roads! Guy Cheers John!! Did you get your titanium system fitted ok? Guy
