  1. In 1998 I used my Ducati as a Xmas tree- took the doors off the house so I could get it inside. I covered it in tinslel and baubles and surrounded it in presents. The whole house stank of petrol for weeks. I was divorced shortly afterwards.
  2. Is this you Jim? Note the red nose.
  3. I agree with Ratch re suspension set up- no point in laying out the cash on extra horses unless you can keep it on the road. As a cheap and easy way of going a little faster, losing 10 kilos of bodyweight will outweigh the gain of 2bhp when it comes to power to weight ratio. Guy
  4. Congartulations once again Martin!!!
  5. He should be chucked in prison for that horrible 940 custom thingy
  6. Hmmmm...more like what should I be doing on my Guzzi this weekend? After a very hard summer's use, Rosso Corsa needs oils, filter, pads front and back, wiring under tank checking due to intermittent starting problem, fork oil changing and tidying cosmetics. Forgot it needs a new battery too- have a Hawker Odyssey on order. Am also waiting for a number plate hanger from Rossopuro that is due to arrive in January plus K and N pods from Teo Lamers. Needs some mirrors too- not happy with the Motrax ones I bought when I stripped the fairing. I chucked it in the corner of the garage a few weeks ago and it has not moved since. Helen's V11- new Diablo Corsa for the rear required as the old one is now Kojak. Also need to whip off her forks and take them down to Maxton to get rebuilt- this is her birthday present from October that I still have not sorted out. I will probably leave all these jobs until January cos I am too busy. Out on the Ducati today- gonna be cold but sunny and dry and I will be joining the local bike club on a Pet Food run to the local PDSA. Guy
  7. Hmmmm I am sure this story grew out of some truth, but it is not common at all- everyone I know is having works Xmas parties- I have had 2 already this week!!! Some of the stuffy press likes to print sensationalist stories like this, and some people (mainly retired Majors) believe it happens all the time. If you were in Leeds any night this week you would have seen hundreds of people out celebrating at Xmas parties and in restaurants. Many of my colleagues are Muslim and still have a good time when they go out whether they drink or not. They also have no objection to the celebration of Xmas- in fact they think its funny when over sensitive politically correct councils put up banners saying "Season's Greetings" rather than "Merry Christmas". Guy
  8. Mine is Ashley Law on the Tenni raced in the proddy TT a few years back. I just like the picture. I change mine every few weeks cos I get bored.
  9. I love my Monster- it is totally mad and more than fast enough for me. I would not buy a 1098 unless I had cash for another Duke- and that simply won't happen- but I need to ride one just to see what a 160bhp twin feels like.
  10. This baby is growing on me...my local dealer will have a demonstrator from 14th December. I may take one out for a spin just for the hell of it- can't afford another bike but I just need to try it.
  11. Well credit to Mr G Goose- I always think in life, if you don't like it, f*ck off. And he has f*cked off. Guy
  12. In Texas she would be labelled anorexic!
  13. Happy Birthday BFG Happy Birthday Martin for last week!
  14. Comgrats on your new baby, Carl!
  15. Have not seen one in the flesh yet, but they are in dealers now I understand. Motor is from the Norge. Long review in this month's Motorcycle Sport & Leisure. Guy
  16. Not sure of the venue yet Gary- but it has been this weekend for as long as I can remember. Guy
  17. Got a plan- First proper rally of the year is Scottish Rally first May bank holiday weekend- are you Solent guys still riding up, Jim? Off to Europe first 2 weeks of June- will possibly take ferry to Bilbao then play in the Pyrenees for a while before heading up through France and finishing off with Boxmeer Rally. There will be 9 of us including Jockguzzi and Mal. Getting married in July- I will be riding to the ceremony on my V11, then we will be honeymooning in Applecross in the Scottish Highlands- on our V11s of course. I go insane this time of year because of the weather, and dream of empty summer roads in the mountains somewhere.....

Most of us will have had our fair share of hand and blow jobs, but never a big shed job. You lucky bugger Noggers.

  20. Yes I believe Teo Lamers sell them in Holland Guy
  21. Life is too short to get wound up about silly little things. I can't see the big deal in Dave being a moderator- in fact I think he will do a great job in zapping spammers. It is good to have an interest in politcal issues, and I can't see the harm in having a bit of banter and discussion on a motorcycle forum, but going over the top and making it into a personal attack is out of order. I think Jaap's approach to managing the (his) forum is excellent- he lets it flow without it ever getting out of hand- only occasionaly does he have to put his moderator hat on and lay down the law. Guy
  22. Has everyone been taking drugs?
  23. I guess you are excused for your recent slackness, Mr Quizdude!! Many congratulations!!!!!!! P.S April is nice and looks Italian!
