Enjoy your new baby and make sure those ferry monkeys tie her down properly- it can get a bit lively on that crossing. Guy

I love this thread- it demonstrates the individuality of V11 owners- how often have you been to a rally or meeting and seen two V11s that look identical? Guy

Guzzi are now charging over £800 for their Titanium system which quite frankly, is taking the piss. I recently got a catelogue from Spareshack, who have recently sold me a few bits for my Ducati. Flicking through the pages I noticed he was selling exhausts for V11s, and as well as the usual Quat D ex Box, he is now stocking regular silencers made by Quat D for the V11. May be worth considering if you are not bothered about getting the factory (non-adjustable) ECU. They are high rise, and look great. Available in titanium (£523) or aluminium (£400). Full system also available in titanium (£738), aluminium (£523). Can be sold with road legal baffles for extra £16. He also stocks the ex box system at £553 which is road legal with cat. Can't find any pics on the net I am afraid but you can download a catalogue from the website. Spareshack catalogue Now signing off for a while- off to the Baja peninsular in Mexico for a wedding- found a place that rents dune buggies so I will playing in the sand while the rest of my family sunbathe! P.S. Just noticed that prices do not include VAT- so add 17.5% if you are a Brit.

pot of gold

I'd get there and some bastard leprachaun sitting on a pot of gold would have drunk the bleeding place dry! -
Mammoth jugs....

Selling his bike 'cos his record company thinks its too dangerous. Just about sums the bloke up! He is a girly singer with a girly voice so should probably ride a Honda Deauville in pink. V11s should be reserved for blood drinking shouty heavy metal singers with attitude who don't give a f*** what their record company say. God this world is getting very sanitised. Rant over Guy

Agreed lets get back on track...

I found the fuss over the Janet Jackson thing a bit weird. One tiny boobie pops out while she sings and the world is going to end! Do some people think that breasts are dirty? If kids grow up thinking that, they may turn out quite weird! And women not being able to sunbathe topless on the beaches? What is that all about? I guess a different country, different customs- but maybe closer to Saudai Arabia than Europe in respect to these sort of things. Guy

Sounds like a great trip- I got the opportunity to ride some of those roads in the summer and loved the rocks and scenery. How did your daughter get on with fuel range in the more remote parts? The fuel light comes on at 85 miles on my S4Rs, and then I only have 2.5 litres left. Guy

I have never ridden one but many think the BMW is a fine bike- I know someone with a Boxer Cup replica and it goes well. But ask yourself one question- do you prefer sexy Italian ladies, or big fat German blokes in leather shorts? This will help you decide. Guy

Here are some breasts, or as Antonio woulod say, the place where mother milk originates.

Pedrosa still had a chance of being world Champion, and HRC had no team orders so you can't blame the guy for racing with Hayden. In fact that attitude is what makes Moto GP stand apart from boring and antiseptic Formula One. Pedrosa made a silly mistake but I hope he is not unfairly villified now- he is an excellent rider, still learning his trade while in his first year of Moto GP. If Hayden had got better results in all the races since Laguna, he would have been crowned World Champion long ago and would not be in this position. It was noticeable that Hayden stepped up the pace this weekend and made a real effort- why did he not do that beforehand? No point in blaming the bike, you could see in his body language that he has been cruising for 3 months while he should have been racing. Guy -

The Duke is here to stay- even though it does frighten me silly sometimes!

I can be, if the price is right.

Common as CBR600s these Scura things.

My reasons for not having a beard are: 1/ I am barely old enough to shave 2/ When I grow one, its ginger! Guy

It was a silly mistake made at the worst time- but all racers do this sort of thing from time to time- remember Rossi taking out Melandri earlier in the season? The Ilmor 800cc bike went pretty well- it seems as though the lap times won't be massively different next year. Guy -
Found the pics on MCN- there a few more on there, including the new sport classics. MCN

As seen at the Intermot bike show in Germany: I'm all for fast Guzzi specials, but think the Dynotech Guzzilla is a wee bit ugly. Fun to ride I am sure though. Bimota looks quite tasty 900SS flat tracker- very minimalist

The rednecks around here drive cars!! Some UK biker stereotypes: With Harleys, if it is an old one it is likely to be owned by a guy who has ridden bikes all his life and maintains it himself. If its a modern one, HOG poseurs or guys moving off sports bikes wanting to slow down. Sportsters are popular with the ladeeys. Buells tend to be ridden by your Streetfighter types. Dukes- if it is a 999 or 749, either a poseur or a track day addict (tyres either have a huge bitch strip or are frazzled to bits). Monsters- mainly girlies. Hardly see any STs or Multistradas about. Beemers- old men in the IAM, off duty traffic cops or Ewan and Charlie wannabees. Jap sports bikes- huge spectrum of riders who like to go for the norm. This type of bike is the most common in the UK and the best selling big bikes are normally GSXR1000s and the like. Guzzis- mainly tight arsed real ale drinking bearded weirdos. Guy

I will go if the date not clash with Boxmeer.

I reckon five and a half grand will get you a low mileage second hand Griso- maybe cheaper over the winter. I have noticed that there are plenty nearly new ones appearing in the small ads. What is the betting that the Breva and Griso will be manufactured with the 1200 motor soon? It would make commercial sense by cutting down a production line, and would be marketed as an improvement to the range. I was actually quite impressed by the comfort and practicality of the Breva- I only borrowed one for a day but it seemed like a serious mile eater, albeit not that sexy. Have never ridden a Griso but would love a go. The Breva motor did not seem bad at all, but it was less torquey than my V11 for sure. The only thing with all these new Guzzis is that I would have to sell my V11 to buy one- and I love it so much I have no reason to swap it. Guy

Best race of the year so far- Elias was just brilliant and entertaining. Fair play to Rossi too- he was right on the limit when he could just have relaxed and settled for second place- but that is not Rossi's style. I really feared for Nakano- glad he is not too badly hurt. Looking forward to the next round! Guy P.S. 2006 Manx GP is on Men And Motors this afternoon- think it is about 5pm. Includes Senior Classic with some of the road racing regulars like Lougher on Manx Nortons etc.
