  1. If those photos are real, then I expect the owner is too shit scared to leave his bike parked anywhere in public. Guy
  2. BFGs pic reminds me its time I returned to the Stelvio to eat a sausage at top and get dizzy from the thin air.
  3. Not easy but possible if you have lots of cash- probabaly best to read the thread entitled "V11 Modifications - Opinions?" which may enlighten you. Guy
  4. The salesman is talking bollocks- the Ballabio is a nice bike but makes the same power as other V11s i.e. 75 to 80 bhp at the rear wheel. Don't let that put you off though. Guy
  5. Nice one Loris!!!!
  6. A bit of sunshine, with dry roads and all the fair weather guys have suddenly appeared today blowing the cobwebs out of their Gixxers and R1s. Forecast 14 degrees, sunny and dry tomorrow- will hopefully get a chance to go for a ride in between Moto GP and BSB. First camping trip of the year next weekend so I hope the weather holds up. Guy
  7. Other posters on here with the FBFs include Mandello248, Gthyni and Ian Mottram.
  8. I thought so! I can understand your reasoning, but I won't worry about it- life is too short! I will be a good test bed anyway because my bikes tend to get well used. Guy
  9. Can't wait- the question is whether the Ducatis tyres will last the race- I hope so! For BSB fans, ITV will be showing live coverage tomorrow- 2 Dukes on the front row there as well. Guy
  10. Just to be absolutely crystal clear on this, who has had to have a major rebuild? I am aware of quite a few riders who have the FBFs but have heard no reports of rebuilds or engine damage. Do we have proof of these rebuilds or is this just speculation? Guy
  11. Or seeing as your chickens can read, one evening rig up a PC in your barn, make them read the Global Warming and ECU threads over and over again and leave a shotgun with plenty of ammo next to them. Go to bed (wearing earplugs) and in the morning, hey presto, feathered Kurt Cobains everywhere. Guy
  12. Can't you rig up some sort of contraption similar to the machine in the film Chicken Run?
  13. Thanks for the kind offer Jim. I will probably end up getting my custom map tweaked by Hobbsport who are the guys who will be doing the work to my heads- they did a fine job last producing a map for the current set up. Need to get the bike run in by 16th April- first track day of the year at Anglesey. Mal and Baldini will be there too on their V11s. Guy
  14. A parcel containing my FBF pistons arrived this morning- Mal will be helping me fit them next weekend. I basically agree with the posts on here about not pushing the limits of the motor too far and enjoying a Guzzi for what it is, but that won't stop me fiddling and seeing what the motor can do with a bit of mild modification. I am out of the country for most of July so I am tempted to get the head work done then rather than waiting until winter. Will post a dyno chart on here when I have finished so you can judge for yourself whether my money has been well spent or whether it has been a waste of time. So far I am encouraged by the positive feedback I have received from those who have fitted the FBFs, so fingers crossed. Guy
  15. I have seen this before but my blonde brain can't remember what it is! Is it Australian? Guy
  16. If you want value for money then a mid 90s Yamaha YZF750 is quite a bargain if you can find a decent one. I have seen a few of these at track days and they go really well, and are cheap as chips- around £1500 over here and they come with an Ohlins rear shock. At that price, not a total disaster if you sling it down the road and you won't be far off the pace of a more modern superbike. Guy
  17. Everyone's at it now!
  18. Dry, sunny and about 6 degrees here- but forecast on Sunday to get up to 14 degrees- wooohoooooo!!
  19. Looks very nice in green!!
  20. http://www.motorcyclenews.com/nav?page=mot...=NEWS_NEW-BIKES I can't imagine I will be buying one, but I hope its better than all the fast Jap stuff.
  21. Its sunny and dry this morning- you lucky buggers!
  22. Der Affe ist im Baum
  23. After being treated for bowel cancer I am pretty used to being probed- I prefer to be under anaesthetic though- where's the whisky?
  24. Diablo Corsas are not just good for the track- I have been running them over winter and they warm up just as quick as my old 020s and work well in all conditions, even better than the 020s in the wet. Guy
