Hi Ken, I currently have three ECU's that I've collected over the years. About six months ago after doing a complete tune on my 2000 V11 I plugged in Guzzidiag to check all the parameters. I still had a little choppy idle and found the stock ECU c/o trim set at +65. I lowered it to get the best idle at +35 and bike rode very well through all throttle inputs. When I got back from the test ride I plugged in the other two ECU's and one was at-7 the other at+15. both idled o k but not as smooth as the original. I realize that without a proper analyzer I'm just doing it by "feel" but the ride is smooth without any hiccups.. My conclusion was that there are enough differences in the ecu's to adjust them individually for your best situation. My Paul B

Take a look at your old oil filter and see if the gasket is there or not. They are known to stay on the mounting flange and cause the problem you describe. Paul B

If you have the factory manual, on page 12 it gives the generic torque for any bolts not specifically listed in the component sections. Paul B

Boy O Boy, after searching some more it looks like there are three tail pieces depending on model and not necessarily year. The two you have and then there is a third like your top one that has ducts cut out rearward of the front bolt hole. Looks like the Daytonas used both. Where is Medic Andy when you need him? Paul B

I believe they changed to the wider tail piece in 1997. Paul B

Back in the 80's, Northern tool used to sell the barrel stove kits made by Vogelzang and I actually believe they were an asian knock-off. We built one for our shop and used mostly pallet wood , and it worked great. 3500 foot shop area and we mounted a pedestal fan behind the upper barrel and would heat up the whole shop in a hurry. Nowadays your right, they make stoves but back in the day they only had the kits for DIY'ers. Paul B

The only thing I have found at this point is Part #37547005 pin 19mm thd. Prior to 2001, Part#1547060 pin 22mm thd, after 2001 thru 2004. Have not found any dimensional data except what we already know, Thanks Kindoy. Paul B

Welcome CDR, judging by your picture, the bend doesn't look too severe and if you have the capabilities,( torch,vise, nut to fit the thread) it looks to be repairable. My $.02. Paul B

In the Guzzi Fiches I have found that revisions or specs are given in the last part of the breakdowns. In reference to T5/T6 it shows Up to Frame KT211300 =T5, After frame KT211301 = T6. Paul B

The way everything goes dim I would suspect the solenoid is the culprit. Of Course, ground wires first. Paul B
